The wall barrier is if you don’t want it to go in a certain area. I honestly put a laundry basket where I don’t want it to go to save money. I will replace cleaning items but not for a couple months. Either one will be great. Rugs...sometimes they get stuck on the small ones but large ones are fine. It goes right up. Small ones just sometimes it goes under for Some reason. Maybe too light and it pushes it?!

Answer:	My daughter and I both shed hair like crazy, and the first few times I ran the roomba, it repeatedly stopped with an error message because of hair wrapped around the rollers. But by the 3rd time I used it, that wasn’t happening anymore—probably because I was using it regularly. (Although when I empty the bin now, I do take care to check and clear the *ends* of the rollers from hair that is inevitably wound around them.)

Question:	There is an area after 3 sweeps where it hasn't 'figured out' exists. Does it have distance req f/ home port thats keeping it from 'finding it
Answer:	If there is a consistent area in your home that the Roomba is not cleaning. You would want to make sure that there are not any obstacles or anything that would interfere with the Roomba in that area. Items that may interfere with the Roomba would be anything that uses Infrared technology. For more information about your Roomba and the cleaning performance. Question:	I have another roomba and was wanting another to work on the lower level of my home. can i have two that will work on one app and with all my alexas
Answer:	Up to 10 robots may be connected to your iRobot Home App. Please follow the connectivity recommendations made by Amazon in regards to your Alexa Device.
Question:	I have a shag rug that has long hairs, about 2 inches. Can I program the Roomba to just skip those rugs
Answer:	The Roomba 981 would not be able to be programmed to avoid specific areas. You would, however, be able to use a Dual Mode Virtual Wall. This accessory would emit Infrared beams that would keep the Roomba away from specific areas.
Question:	Will this work on shag area rug
Answer:	Roomba's are built to be able to clean and move back and forth over many different kinds of surfaces. The Robot has a 5/8" clearance that allows it to traverse most thresholds, rugs and carpets up to that height. If the Rug were deeper than 5/8" the Robot may not be able to clean it as effectively as a more shallow pile rug.
