Answer:	I would go straight to the source on the black and decker website. I saw many differences listed in the specs on there. This biggest one I think that would make a difference is the suction power and washable filter.

Answer:	This vacuum is great on hard surfaces for pet hair. If the pet hair is typically hard to vacuum up because it is on cloth or carpet, not so great. It works very good to pick up loose crumbs on carpet, though. I have two cats that shed and I wholeheartedly recommend, instead, the Eureka EasyClean 71B corded handheld vacuum for pet hair on furniture. It is the only vacuum that will pick up cat hair on my velour couches because of the strong suction and rotating brushes. It is extremely important to clean the filter to keep the suction strong on both of these handheld vacuums. The filter on this Black and Decker CHV1410L is underneath the green filter cover that twists off. The easiest and most effective way to clean the filters for me is to use a shop vac on them. Of course, any vacuum with a hose attachment would work.

Answer:	This is the second time I bought this model: 1st time in 2013 and 2nd time in 2016. Both vacuums lasted for 2.5 years before loosing charge quickly. The vacuum was always heavily used (every day, several times a day).

Question:	Can you use it for wet messes or just dry
Answer:	It will destroy the paper filter if used for wet
Question:	How stable is this when charging? Clearance
Answer:	Once placed in the charger, it remains reasonably stable as long as the surface it sits on is stable. However, the slightest bump or brush will very easily tip it over and out of the charger. It sits upright in the charger at a slight forward angle. The end sits at about 18 inches retracted, and about 22 inches extended.
Question:	Does it have replacement filters
Answer:	Joan - You can buy replacement filters - before you do, make sure which filter came with your unit. The Manual says the filter is the VF110 FC with agitator. My unit came with the VF110 which is what the newer ones seem to be shipping with. You can recognize the VF110 because the filter is all cloth - no plastic to make it hard to clean and no agitator. Once you determine which filter you have you can order the filter. I ordered the 5 pack through Amazon for $34.95. Each filter will have a long life - most of the time you can clean the filter with a very soft brush and all the debris falls right off. Filter can also be washed - so if you have the extra filter you can use that while the other dries out. Hope this helps - let me know.
Question:	Does the battery come off
Answer:	I opened up the unit I had for 5 years -- which still works fine. The battery can be easily removed once opened (remove 6 screws) though you need to be careful as it's a live battery. Problem is finding a replacement battery, unless you want to solderin new batteries to create a new pack. I would hate to throw this in a landfill because I cannot find a battery pack.
