Question:	Will the Shark Steam pocket mop clean grout from wear and tear on my ceramic tile floors
Answer:	I don't see that Bissell has a model #1906 but there is a 1806 so I will assume you are referring to it. I had the original blue 1940 model for 3.5 years before it stopped working due to a bad thermal fuse. Since it was no longer covered by the 2 year manufacturer's warranty through Bissell, my husband was able to fix it by replacing the fuse but in the meantime, while he was ordering the correct fuse, I replaced it with the Bissell purple pet #19404, only because it was $10 cheaper than the blue #1940 at the time. The purple #19404 is the EXACT same mop as the blue #1940 but the blue #1940 comes with one scent of fragrance discs (Spring Breeze) and the purple #19404 comes with "Odor Eliminating" discs for people with pets. Here are some of the differences I see between the 1806 and the 1940 (and the purple pet #19404): Power cord length: 1940 (and purple pet 19404) = 23 feet. The cord on the1806 =25 feet Water tank: 1940 (and purple pet 19404) = holds 15 oz. and is removable to fill (and empty) at the sink. 1806 holds 19 oz. and is built into the mop. Must be filled using the provided water cup and I guess you have to turn the mop upside down over the sink if you need to empty the water tank. The 1940 (and purple pet 19404) has 3 steam levels (High, Medium and Low) whereas the 1806 only has 2. Fragrance discs: 1940 (and purple pet 19404) = discs fit into a mesh pocket on the inside of the mop pad. 1806 = discs can either go into the mesh pocket on the inside of the mop pad or into a tray located on the top of the mop foot. Probably the biggest difference is the "spot boost brush" on the 1806. The 1940 (and purple pet 19404) = have a flip down brush on the back of the mop. 1806 = has a removable "wand" with the brush on the end. (You can search the Bissell 1806 on YouTube and see it demonstrated in one of Bissell's videos. Bissell may also have a demo video on their official website if you look on the product page for the 1806.) I rarely ever use the flip-down scrub brush on my 1940 (or 19404) models since I don't usually have anything on my floors that needs scrubbing (no kids or grandkids in the house leaving sticky messes) so I don't find the removable wand with the spot boost brush appealing or necessary for my needs. I'd rather have the removable water tank the 1940 (and purple pet 19404) offers for the benefit of easy filling and emptying. I've had my 1940 for almost 7 years (and the 19404 probably 3.5 years) and I LOVE them. I would not hesitate to buy another one whenever these finally die.
Question:	are the cleaning pads reuasable/washable
Answer:	I like to have the bonus of a cleaner as well. The easy work-around is to lightly spray the area to be cleaned with a diluted spray cleaner formula of your choice. Then the steam action helps the cleaner to work. Only use a touch of cleaner as the heat will mean more fumes in the area and that would be dangerous in excess. Understand too that cleaners are far too concentrated to begin with. I always cut mine with water and get 2 bottles for the price of one.
Question:	i have arthritis in my fingers....is the "trigger" hard to pull? Do you have to hold the trigger? Is this hard for someone 80 years old to use
Answer:	A "weak spot" for many laminates that involve click-lock or tongue-and-groove wooden boards is the seams where these boards meet. Unless you have something like a Pergo floor in which you glued the seams after laying each row, the steam may penetrate and cause swelling of the wood below the "fake wood" surface. Flooring installers call this type of swelling/warpage "cupping" and a user introducing this kind of moisture would void the warranties I've read. (Disclaimer: DIY person who has installed several brands of flooring.)
Question:	Can the steam mop clean ground in dirt out of the tile grout
Answer:	If you mean after multiple cycles in the washing machine, the pads don't look brand new anymore. I do bleach them in the wash, but to the mops credit, it picks up so much filth they can look a little grey. But they ARE clean. If you're asking how long they last during a cleaning... I mop a large area like the kitchen, then I pick it up and peek under the mop to see how much I've picked up. If it's COVERED in dirt I change it, if I can still see the white of the pad I keep going. Hope that helped!

Answer:	It gets as hot as the boiling point of water at your location. At sea level, 212 degrees F. In Denver, the Mile High City, only about 202 degrees F.

Answer:	The deciding factor for me was the design of the tank. The tank on the 1940 can be removed, but it has a cap that other reviewers have reported easily breaks. The tank on the 1806 can be refilled from the top, without removing it and while plugged in. The 1806 also comes with a cup to use for refilling the tank.

They are pretty expensive, considering they recommend replacement every 20 wash cycles. As far as I can tell, there are no off-brand replacements for the pad. There are pads that are similar, and may work, but they are for other models of Shark products.

Answer:	It didn’t do well cleaning my bathtub and sink. I had better luck and spent less time and energy using a mixture of baking soda and bleach for the mold around the tub. Used vinegar to clean the sink. I wouldn’t recommend this product for bathroom.

Answer:	It is difficult to say. We started using the Sharp Steam mop right after our tile was installed. Our tile has dark grout and when we have dropped powder on the tile and grout it does remove that. We are pleased on how it cleans the tile.

Answer:	There is not a "trigger" to pull to produce steam in this particular Shark. The handle is pumped by the force of moving the steam mop back and forth while mopping the floors. If you are able to push and pull with the action of your arm, and still able to hold the handle with your hand as you would with a 'normal' mop, you should find this steam mop to be marvelous.
Question:	what’s the difference between this model and s1000a
Answer:	No, but if you go to Home Depot they sell an attachment for a pole (you will have to get the pole if you don’t have one) for cleaning grout. A spray bottle 50/50 of water and ammonia and this brush cleans floor grout. Use the steam mop to wipe the dirt brought up and after cleaning all the grout and wiping change pads and mop again. Doesn’t take much effort. You don’t need to do this every time you mop as unlike a regular mop it doesn’t leave dirty water behind.

Answer:	We have tested it on carpet spots of several sizes, types, and ages. For any stain that's same-day, it'll clean it out really well, way better than any spot cleaning solution will. For spots that are a few days old, it will do pretty well, but you may have a slight tinge left over and/or you may have to go over the spot a few times. For older stains, you'll probably be left with some staining even after a few go-overs, but it will look much better than it did before. It can even make a very noticeable difference on stains that are several years old.The caveats - it's a small cleaner, so cleaning anything larger than a fist-sized spot is going to take a pretty long time (15-30 mins+ for each go-over, depending on how deep the stain is), and it can end up cleaning a spot so well that it becomes cleaner than the surrounding area, which would required a larger floor steam cleaner to even everything out.But yes, if your carpet is at risk for small stains, and you're good with breaking this out same day, then absolutely this will take most spots out of carpets.

The brushes are all the same material (aside from the optional brass brush) but the color difference is for keeping them apart which gives you the option to use one color in one area. So you could for instance use only the red brush in your bathroom and the green brush in your kitchen.

Question:	will it kill bed bugs
Answer:	Never had bed bugs but it certainly killed fleas in my house. I would say yes, the steam is hot enough to kill anything like a bed bug. You have to give the machine proper time to warm up and using distilled water is the key to making sure the unit doesn't have problems and holds up for a long time.

Answer:	Have not used it to clean the full carpet but have used for spot and used it to removed large area of wax. I will be using it to clean a small bedroom carpet and seats in my car.
Question:	Does this unit have a low water warning light or shutoff
Answer:	When the water gets too low, it ceases to hold pressure high enough to create steam. The indication on the pressure light gets lower (below 2), but you will also notice that the sound has changed. It is obvious when more water is needed.
Question:	What is the difference between the 1375 and the 1275? Thanks
Answer:	1375 - 90 mins of steam and 20 accessories, 1275 - 45mins of steam and 18 accessories. Biggest difference is the 1275 has no variable control on the steam pressure output to the hand nozzle, where the 1375 has a variable control to adjust the steam pressure depending on cleaning job you are tackling.

Answer:	In the box you will get the mop (which holds the removable water tank), 1 cloth pad to mop floors with, a jet steam nozzle that attaches to the removable water tank which makes the unit a handheld steamer, a flexible hose to add the attachments to, a small handheld attachment with a terry cloth type of pad to steam things such as windows, and lastly a water cup to easily fill the water reservoir. And FYI- my mop came with a card that states if I left a review on Amazon and send them the link of the review and my mailing address, they would send 2 additional pads (free of charge, along with free shipping) used to clean the floor. Question:	will it remove hard soap scum from acrylic shower base
Answer:	I have not used the steam cleaner on our acrylic shower base because I use a different cleaner on it have scum. However, I will tell you this: My husband, who works in the medical field and has the cleanest hands anyone could have, manages to open our fairly new refrigerator at least 10-15 x a day and each time, he leaves sticky handles on the french doors and 2 freezer compartments. I feel I do nothing 5 days a week before he works and after he comes home and both Sat & Sun but try to wipe whatever invisible sticky stuff he leaves on them and NEVER get it off. It's unbelievable!!! I used the steam cleaner on the entire outside of the refrigerator yesterday and that thing is pristine and there is no evidence of anything sticky. I also steamed the inside of every rubber door lining, and I did the microwave. I am in HEAVEN! Now I know, if necessary, I can get keep the refrigerator doors slick and clean every day and my marriage will be saved, especially when he retires in 4 yrs when I might have to kill him when he starts cooking more frequently.

Answer:	It has done a good job of softening the wallpaper, so it can be easily scraped off of the wall. It is still a messy, laborious process, but the steamer does help, and works quickly.

Answer:	I have bought the mccollough brand brushes for the Wagner and they fit fine. That is the only part that I know for sure is interchangeable.

Answer:	Hi,Believe it or not, I have done it. Doesn't mention anything about clothes but it's steam and I have done it many times. This is a great price they have it for now. It has dropped 15.00 since last week.
Question:	How long does it take to heat up enough to use
Answer:	It takes about 10-15mins to heat up. You can use it thereafter up until you run out of water. It is highly recommended to use distilled water. Personally, I find the distilled water does not come to highest heat, therefore steam is not optimum. I seem to get a lot more water spitting out than steam using distilled water. Although distilled supposedly extends the life of the eating element and/or reservoir.

Answer:	Yes, but this machine may be too small for this application. I would suggest a larger steamer.

Answer:	You can use it to clean sealed walls but care should taken to avoid damaging sheet rock.
Question:	How long would I have to wait to fill up the tank again
Answer:	Refilling the tank is a question of how you are using the steamer. If you are using it in spurts while cleaning the area you are working on, then it will be approximately 20-30 minutes. If you are using it in more longer spurts with little wiping and cleaning of the area you are working on, then it will be more around 10-15 minutes. I have used it both ways and I recommend using it in the former.
