Answer:	This is THE best for dog hair. I have 2 Mastiffs and a bulldog. Total poundage of shedding dogs in the house is over 440 lbs (not a typo) and believe you me, these guys can shed some hair!! Plus, I live in the country with dirt roads, so dust, grit and dog hair is a daily occurrence. I also have parrots, so vacuum cleaners come to my house to die. This light weight little guy will pick up feathers, seed hulls, bird pellets with ease. On dog hair, it pulls up the dog hair tumbleweeds inches away. It's light enough not to bother my arthritic hands, and its EASY to clean! I suggest getting a second filter so one can be ready to go in a flash. We suggest you regularly wash the HEPA filter and replace every year. Make sure to clean the dust cup filters regularly.

How to maintain the brushroll?

If the brushroll light turns red, this indicates the brushroll is clogged and cannot spin. Brushroll will automatically shut off. You can remove the brushroll by turning off the vacuum, flipping over the floor nozzle and using a coin to turn the locks to open the bottom panel and lift out the brush roll.

Answer:	You would need to vacuum the soil first to get up all the debris. Then, when use this cleaner, it will get up all the spots. I have 4 dogs, and every spot they’ve left behind, this cleaner has cleaned them all up.

Question:	Can you clean an entire (small) room with this (appx 10'x
Answer:	You could, but it would be quite a chore. This is a spot cleaner not intended for cleaning the carpet in an entire room. For that large of an area you would want an upright rug cleaner. Even a light duty upright would be better for such an area than this Hoover Spotless.
Question:	How does this compare to the spot bot
Answer:	Overall like the spot bot better, have both, use bot more often, just easier.
Question:	How does this do on pet stains
Answer:	It works great. I fill a sprayer with boiling hot water, use a carpet detergent to loosen the stain, and the spot scrubber to lift it from the item so stained. The sprayer is used just ahead of the spot scrubber vacuum tool and all of the gunk goes into the easily dumpable tank. I put distilled water in the wash tank and finish with that so no dissolved mineral residue remains (which sometimes makes a ring when the cleaned item drys). Works great and easy to clean (use a little of the boiling water followed with a distilled water flush).
