Answer:	You could, but it would be quite a chore. This is a spot cleaner not intended for cleaning the carpet in an entire room. For that large of an area you would want an upright rug cleaner. Even a light duty upright would be better for such an area than this Hoover Spotless.
Question:	How does this compare to the spot bot
Answer:	Overall like the spot bot better, have both, use bot more often, just easier.
Question:	How does this do on pet stains
Answer:	It works great. I fill a sprayer with boiling hot water, use a carpet detergent to loosen the stain, and the spot scrubber to lift it from the item so stained. The sprayer is used just ahead of the spot scrubber vacuum tool and all of the gunk goes into the easily dumpable tank. I put distilled water in the wash tank and finish with that so no dissolved mineral residue remains (which sometimes makes a ring when the cleaned item drys). Works great and easy to clean (use a little of the boiling water followed with a distilled water flush).

Answer:	I emailed Meguires about a paint job on my older Ford Explorer. Seems that the body shop used a cheap clear coat over the base coat and began to haze prematurely. I suspected the clear coat was sprayed on too thin. I live in the southwest and auto paint is subject to harsh summer heat. I asked the shop to spray four clear coats but I'm sure they didn't and used some cheap stuff because paint failure happens after a couple of years but anyway, The customer care guys at Meguires suggested I use this product with a grey foam pad( I used a yellow) and my car looked like new after I finished it. The oxidized paint came right off. I also put the synthetic sealer soon afterwards and even left that on overnight to bind with the paint. You really dont need to polish your car often if you wash it by hand using a microfiber wash cloth and Meguires car wash then spray on the synthetic detailer (while car is still wet) dry off with a dry microfiber cloth. The polish is only to SLICK UP THE FINISH. Sometimes the birds get to my car and I polish that off after the hand wash but once the suface is slick and sealed, evrything will wash right off. You are right though, you go polish off some of the paint when you do this so go easy, low RPM on your rotary polisher,light pressure and remember to seal it up ! this stuff really worked well for me, I used a Dewalt rotary polisher that I purchased here on Amazon for about $150.00 a year ago. The rotary polisher is a little more difficult to use than the orbital(much lower oscillations per second) and you might want to consider that first. I have seen those at Harbour Freight Sales for about $25.00. I hope that helps !

Answer:	Label says for "vinyl and upholstery." I don't know how it will affect leather adjacent to the stitching. I think you might try Leather Master Ink Lifter, which I have used to clean badly stained interiors of hand bags. Bickford also makes leather cleaners, and a conditioner, Bick4.

Answer:	A year or so later... but hopefully this helps others: You will want to use a steam carpet/upholstery "extractor" with a good odor enzyme to help rid that fishy smell from your car. Trust me, you do not want to mask a fishy smell!

Dimensions: 13.8 lbs Check for suction at the back of the unit after removing the hose where it attaches to the back of the unit. If there IS suction at the back of the machine with the hose removed, follow these steps: Unplug the unit from the outlet. Check the Pre- and Post-Motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can restrict airflow. The Pre-Motor Foam Filter is square. You can find it in a pull-out tray under the Dirt Tank. The Foam Filter may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Reinstall the filter when it’s completely dry. The Multi-Layer Post-Motor Filter is rectangular. It can be found on the side of the machine. Note: The white Multi-Layer Post Motor Filter isn’t washable. Make sure the dirt tank is empty. Check the upper tank for build-up or clogs. If it needs to be cleaned, use a short, Phillips-head screwdriver and take off the separator plate with a cloth (can be dampened with water or mild detergent). Replace dirt tank. Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there’s good suction, make sure the hose is connected firmly to the lower hose on the back of the vacuum. If there’s no suction, check the hose for splits, cracks, or clogs. Make sure the Brush Roll is rotating. If it isn’t, take the access plate off and examine the brush and belt for damage. The access panel can be taken off by lifting the four tabs on the bottom of your machine. Clearing clogs detach the Upper Hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit. Straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or laying the unit on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstruction. Use a broomstick to unclog the hose. Power source - corded. Power rating: 3 amps.

Answer:	The brush head detaches from the hose. I clean it by running extremely hot water through it. You could even soak it in a warm water bath if needed. If there is a hair stuck inside the plastic portion, you can use an unbent page clip to dig it out.

Answer:	Sorry to tell you this - I've had my first machine for yr and it worked fine until it would no longer spray- since it was old I thought some part must have worn out - and since it had given me many yrs of great service - I just went out and bought another one - I have had this new one for just about a yr and now the same problem is happening to this one - I've given up and use a spray bottle to apply solution and the machine to pick up the residue - I'll have to be in touch with the company - but this does seem like it could be a chronic problem.

Question:	The water containers seem hard to empty out fully - not well designed. Is anyone having problems with that
Answer:	Yes! I was absolutely having issues emptying the dirty water tank. You can remove the plastic tank from the machine. There was a video that showed how to remove a section of that tank in order to open it up fully. I can't post the link here, but I hope this description helps. Take the dirty water tank off the machine. Then take the purple handle and move it up and over the tank. It will stick at the top and will look like it cannot go further, however, keep pressing gently but firmly and the handle will "give" slightly to allow it to go well over the top fo the tank, in almost a 180 degree change from where it was before. Now you can scoop your fingers under the top section and lift it off. You can see where the plastic looks like it will separate. Once separated, you can set the tank in the sink and clean both sides freely. I was afraid to push it over the top since it naturally stops there, but it does go over.
Question:	Many people say there is a defect were the hose meets the handle And it breaks does anyone know if bissel corrected this problem? Or do they give you
Answer:	I'm in the process of replacing mine because of the described problem. The hose do get brittle after so many usage, the the part of the hose connecting to the suction handle breaks. Problem is this model does not have a hose replacement. Also, I check around how to replace the hose and it looks like, it will take some breaking the machine apart to get to end of the hose connecting to the machine. BUMMER!!!
