GUESS WHAT THE COMPANY SAID?? To get a RUBBER MALLET AND POUND. Really?? So potentially damage the product and get no refund?? Nope. It's going back as I write this. |

| Answer: | The top half of the trash can can be compressed a bit width-wise. But the wider part on the bottom (just above the narrow base) is the same width as the top. It is very thick plastic and will not bend at all. |
