How to avoid stainless steel rust

1. If the stainless steel surface contains dust of other metal elements or attachment of dissimilar metal particles. In humid air, the condensed water between the attached material and the stainless steel connects the two into a micro battery, triggering an electrochemical reaction. The protective film is destroyed, which is called electrochemical corrosion.

2. The surface of the stainless steel adheres to the organic juice (such as melon, noodle soup, etc.), which will constitute an organic acid in the presence of water and oxygen, and the organic acid will corrode the metal surface.

3. The surface of the stainless steel adheres to acid, alkali, and salt substances (such as splash of alkaline water and lime water), will cause local corrosion.

4. In polluted air (such as the atmosphere containing a large amount of sulfide, carbon oxide, nitrogen oxide), sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid liquid spots will form in the condensed water, causing chemical corrosion.

5. Please take care to avoid the damp environment and avoid washing with steel balls and bleaching agents or abrasives.

I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. The handle for the plastic insert bucket kind holds up the lid as well because it doesn't fit inside of the container when it's put down. Bugs would easily be able to get into this container.

Filters can be used up to six months under a normal condition (ie. no food sticking to the inside of the lid. However if experiencing moldy filters please replace them. Answer:	It is too big to fit in the dishwasher.

Answer:	to the top of the pail is 8 and 1/4" add the rounded lid it adds 2 more inches plus the knob at the top. We have ordered 3 for ourselves and gifts and all have been the same size, I don't know if there are different sizes or not.

Question:	What is the diameter of the filter (in case I want to purchase replacements with the item
Answer:	I love this bin thus far, but I do have a couple of concerns. Because we seem to live on top of a large anthill (!), we have to take special precautions all the time to stop the little buggers from sensing odors. How long will the filter prevent odors from escaping before the ants start attacking? We are vegetarian, so the scraps we put in this container are only fruit and veggie scraps (and peanut shells and corn cobs from feeding critters). Thanks much.

Answer:	Depends on how much stinky stuff you put in-I would estimate change every month if you can smell it, otherwise wait until it smells.

Answer:	No, does not come with mounting hardware. I contacted the seller and was told they would send the missing parts. It has bee 3 weeks and I still have only the bucket.
Question:	How is this any different from a regular bucket with a tight fitting lid
Answer:	Most, if not all buckets with 'tight fitting lids' require two hands to open. A Yukchuk has twin lid locks built into the handle mechanism that operate when opening the lid to deposit food waste, no separate handling before and after adding the food scraps.
