Question:	Can shelves be added to this unit
Answer:	Yes, the feet you see in the picture will move up and down by the workings of the screw thread. I have ever had any trouble with them being level (own 6 shelving units) but there is a good possibility to level the shelves if the floor base is for some reason not level; the screw thread is fairly long.
Question:	If I want to have only 5 tiers, is it possible to remove one? Or do you need to use all 6 tiers in order for it to be assembled properly

Answer:	This product is misrepresented, first of all it says two 72" poles. That is wrong, they make 6 foot one piece poles, this is not them. Secondly this product does not contain the connector pieces need to turn two 36' poles into one 72" pole. The connector pieces are not sold separately anywhere on amazon or from distributors, i've been researching for over a year.
Question:	Can the product be adapted by purchaser for length? Instead of 48 inch length, I need 40"; can I simply cut the shelves to length and THEN assemble

Question:	Could you set this up as 2 shorter shelfs side by side
Answer:	You would need to check your rack to see in the poles unscrew in the middle. I get the impression there were different versions of these racks. If they do you need a set of 4 caps, 4 threaded inserts and 4 casters or levelers. Check your pole size too, likely either 1” or 3/4” depending on the version.

Answer:	super simple assembly. take 2 peices of the black thingies. they should have a mark saying top or a dot or something. they are conical so you snap them together on the legs. start on the near bottom of a leg on a ring and slide the cap till it snaps in place. do all 4 on the same ring, 1 level at a time.so caps, snap, shelf. the 1st shelf is the trickiest but once the second shelf is in place it has better stability. if this is not helping, try youtube.
Question:	I'm very frustrated. the plastic shelf holders are not snapping and staying closed what am i doing wrong
Answer:	I've purchased several of these and just have one more thing to add from the other comments. First, from the other comments you can gather that the pieces do not snap together with each other - they snap to the vertical poles. That's an important point left out of the instructions. Second, where most are saying hold them together and slide them down the vertical pole until they snap, you can do that but they most likely will snap in the same location, giving you same size shelves. The shelves are adjustable, so if you want different heights for each shelf, find the groove on the pole that is closest to giving you the shelf size you want. Then you can, making sure the arrow of the 2 interlocking pieces point up, just lay both pieces close to the groove and then you can slide them up or down to find the closest place to that spot where they will snap. One more thing is you need to make sure you put the shelf over the 4 poles as level as you can. Even though the pieces snap onto the pole, they can be knocked off if the shelf hits them too hard on one side or the other if you try to place it on askew. Doesn't have to be perfectly level - I did it by myself - but somewhat hitting all 4 clips at the same time and coming down over them as close to the same time as you can. The lip of the shelf has to be down in order for the shelf to slide over top of the interlocking pieces on each pole - that's what holds them together. Will not work with the lip up. I am a 60ish female with no real mechanical abilities so the first one was the hardest because the instructions left out key points. Hope this helps (I have put together about 5 or 6 of them now in my garage).

Answer:	I don't know how much it will hold in pounds but I do know it's very heavy duty. I love it. I've got my bins pretty much filled up and it had no problems.

Answer:	Outside dimensions assembled are 56" high, 36" wide, 14 1/2" deep. Height is with wheels. Does not include any storage bins on very top shelf.

Answer:	Mine is about 36" wide, 14.5" deep, and 56" tall (including the wheels).

Question:	What is the difference between zinc plating and chrome plating? Do they look the same
Answer:	If you are referring to the openings for the legs it is 1-1/4". The opening in the wires in the shelf itself is 1" x 4-1/2".
Question:	I have had a problem with the black version, because the paint prevents the split sleeves from securing to the poles
Answer:	Yes. It fit my Metro commercial shelving with the same measurements.
Question:	Are the poles one inch or the 3/4 inch
Answer:	My shelf did NOT include the clips, even though the other people responded yes (which why I did not order clips). Fortunately I was able to locate a store close by that carried them so I did not have to wait.
Question:	Can anybody tell me if the shelves can be installed "upside down" - - - to give a lip to prevent items from falling off the shelves as it's being moved? We plan on putting cans of food and bottles of beer on these shelves and don't want them to fall off when wheeling the unit around
Answer:	The Honey-Can-Do shelves have posts 1" OD fitting holes with holes 1-1/8" ID. Another company has posts 3/4" OD to fit their 7/8" ID holes in their shelf.

Question:	Can you remove a shelf? Would like to add trash can at the bottom
Answer:	I would place lower shelf all the way to the bottom and set trash can on it then place other shelves where you want. This would keep shelving unit stable. If you need to leave one shelf off keep it and the plastic brackets in case you want to add later.
Question:	Can i buy one additional shelf for the unit i just purchased? it is so sturdy and i would like one more shelf for the very top. thank you
Answer:	Yes, and you can buy a bag of sleeves here for pennies. I have about 10 sets of shelves that I’ve bought here, Walmart, Aldis. The legs are all the same diameter so I’ve been able to interchange shelves to get what I want. The only issue I’ve had is the size of the shelves. Like others have said, check your measurements. If you use the shelf liners do some comparison shopping. Wide difference in price for same thing. I also found a heavy plastic shelf liner roll I can cut to fit. It has tiny parallel ridges that require cleaning with with a nap- like terry- but glasses sitting upside down can breathe so no “bad breath”. Items can be put away still damp as the ridges allow air to move. Love these wire shelves.
Question:	can the 3shelf hold a microwave
Answer:	Only a small microwave. Unit isn't really sturdy enough for larger appliances.
Question:	Are these the industrial size poles that are 1" so I can use shelves I already own
Answer:	The poles we received with the three shelf unit were only 0.75 inches in diameter. The industrial size poles are usually a 1 inch diameter, and are not compatible with the parts we received in this unit.

Question:	Do these come with metal side rails which are often included as an option on this shelving type
Answer:	Chromate is a top coat that is put on zinc plated items to deter the zinc from white rusting. There is no real difference between a zinc finish and a zinc-chromate finish because (although there are now some chromate-free topcoats) zinc plating is always top coated.Chrome plating is a completely different finish, the steel is nickel plated then chromium plated. Chrome is more attractive in the opinion of most (it is shinier). It is also more expensive.
Question:	Does the top shelf need to be at the top of the rods? For an 84" tall pantry
Answer:	I bought three of the chrome units. They went together with no problem. They are sturdy and you can store plenty of stuff. The wheels are great because they are easy to use. Hope this helps.
Question:	are the wheels included in the overall height of 72 inches
Answer:	One inch...
Question:	Is this hard to put together
Answer:	The shelves cannot be installed upside down. The clips that hold the shelf up are tapered and lock onto the pole. The hole in the shelf that fits onto the clips is also tapered. Therefore, if you put the shelves on upside down, they would just fall. You could possible drill a hole through the clip and put a screw through to hold the shelf up. I don't know what amount of weight the shelf would hold in that case. I use mine for cans as well. There is a small lip all around the shelf, so cans would not slip off.
