Answer:	Hi Angela! Whitmor's Commercial Round Laundry Hamper features a durable chromed metal frame with heavy-duty wheels. It is 32 inches in height and this would work perfectly to catch your laundry from a chute.
Question:	What are the dimensions of just the basket & wheels without the raised bar? Can you assemble without the raised bar
Answer:	The basket is about 20" x 26" (wider than it is deep from front to back) and the top of the basket with the wheels on is about 25" high off the floor. You can assemble without the raised bar, but then you'll have an exposed tube on either side where it is supposed to connect. Adding the raised bar also seemed to provide additional strength to the overall design, but it's probably still okay without it.
Question:	Is there a metal bar across the bottom of it, or is it just a metal circle on the bottom
Answer:	A Metal circle, notice i left out the "just"....this thing is commercial/industrial strong, so unless your going to fill it with lead weights and I mean fill it completely with lead weights and maybe even stand on top after the fact....because there's no need for anything across the bottom, this thing is sturdy!
Question:	How tall is it? We want it to fit under shelving and can be no taller than 27 in
Answer:	I just got mine put together. Exact measurements are 32 1/2-inches tall with the castors installed. The diameter of the metal frame is 23 1/2-inches; however at the base, with the black plastic guards that are over each castor, the measurement is 26-inches. Great item, but very large for home use unless you have a large family. With a top on it, it would make a table for the room (you'll have to find your own top).

Answer:	It's a fixed height at probably 3ft tall. It is not very sturdy, though, so be prepared to keep tightening it.

Question:	Does this come with the rough in kit for new construction
Answer:	The rough-in kit is an optional features and must be ordered separately.
Question:	What is the raised panel white door made of
Answer:	Ours is not a raised panel version. Ours is an unfinished slab door or MDF. We had a cabinet maker put formica material over the entire unit. It is a very nice unit - my wife likes it.
Question:	Does this come with its own high grade ironing board cover
Answer:	Yes. The ironing board features an industrial strength cover/pad, pre-installed on the ironing board, ready to use.
Question:	Are the hinges on the right when looking at the unit
Answer:	Yes they are

Installation Types

A recessed application will involve cutting a hole into your wall for the back 3 7/8" portion of your unit. This will leave 3 7/8" protruding into the room.

The surface mount application involves installing the unit directly to the face of the wall, centered and anchored to solid stud. This requires no cutting into the wall and the full 7 3/4" depth of the unit will protrude into the room.

Answer:	Mine opens all the way, not easily, but with just a little elbow grease, it will open
Question:	How thick is the ironing board (in inches)? Can I leave that part unassembled to save space on height
Answer:	You could leave it off but you really won't be saving any space. It's only about 2 in

Question:	Is the component that holds the iron and ironing board removable
Answer:	Hi! Yes, the ironing board holder is removable.
Question:	Is the iron and board holder bracket available separately
Answer:	Not as far as I know
Question:	basket dimensions
Answer:	Top is 31-1/4 in. wide x 17-5/8 in. deep x 9-7/8 in. high. Front-to-back tapers inward as it goes down resulting in 16-1/8 in. deep at bottom. Width is approximately the same because of the way the basket is assembled. The actual basket begins about an inch from the posts. The rest is the frame work that allows the basket to fit on the plastic sleeves that keep the basket in place. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can height be shortened
Answer:	You can either omit the 4 top poles which basically makes the unit half the advertised size or, with care, cut the top poles with a metal cutting tool to achieved the desired height. There are caps that fit at the top that provide a finished look and keep things out of the rods. If you decide to cut, make sure the top poles are cut, not the bottom. As I recall, the top and bottom poles are not interchangeable because of the casters. If you aren't familiar with standalone adjustable wire shelves with poles , if possible, make a trip to one of the big box home improvement stores. If that isn't possible, do an Internet search for stores in your area that sell adjustable wire shelves that use poles. Any adjustable wire shelf based on poles will give you an idea of what this unit looks like close up. If you decide you want to buy the unit and cut the poles, call the company first to determine if cutting the poles will void the warranty. Hope this helps.
