| Answer: | From my personal experience, they all perform pretty similar. If you keep them in charge, and cycle them at least once every 3~6 months, they last very long. But if you left them un-charged (over-discharged) for a month or so, (very common when people used the tool til the battery stops, then just left the empty battery there, then the next year, or next season, the battery would have been over-discharged, and the protection circuit should refuse to re-charge the battery, this is the most common cause of dead battery from my personal experience). Being said, if you don't left it over-discharge, and don't left it charged/dis-charged without change for longer than about 3~6 months, they should work great for many years, or maintain about 60~70% of full capacity after about 300~500 full cycles. I have battery packs that still work after 6+ years, the capacity has degraded for sure, but they still accept a charge and maintain about 50% of capacity. Also I have some very new battery, used only 3~5 times, but have been left unnoticed for over 1 year, and they became faulty. |
