| Answer: | It was a while ago, but I believe you had to hold the blades, then spin the exterior wheel. I think I used 2 pairs of pliers. I reversed the pliers inside the jar, so the slightly-padded plier handles were bracing the blades, then put the tip of the other pliers thru the spokes of the wheel and twisted. I think its important to re-assemble with 1 drop of Blue Loctite threadlocker on the wheel's threads to prevent it loosening. You can get a little tube of this at any hardware store. That said, I had repeated trouble with this whole blade assembly (went thru 3 blender jars) and Waring was pretty skeptical/disinterested in helping. Eventually puked out a bunch of $$ for a Vitamix. Rock solid to date.. |
