Answer:	The dimensions provided by the manufacturer are separate. The actual height of the sides is indeed 31", but once the top shelf bins are installed, the assembled height is about 36.5". Big difference when height is critical!

Question:	can the wood be sanded and stained a different color
Answer:	“Engineered Wood” is likely to be particle board which could be sanded and painted a different color, but wouldn’t be suitable for staining.
Question:	The kids keep pulling the bins out. Could I possibly drill or melt small holes and zip tie them in place
Answer:	I think that's the whole point of them coming out? So that kids can grab one bin at a time. I have my sons all sorted so he has his cars one, play doh one, potato head pieces one, treasure x one, and etc etc it allows him to pull out one bin at a time and when he's done with that he can put it away and grab another. He is 4 so I'm not sure if your kids are younger then that? But it works great doing it this way!! He always knows where to find what he wants and also helps A TON on clean up as he has to put one back before I let him pull out another. Then he can just bring the whole bin to the living room, or my room, or where ever he is going to play. I never thought about the bins NOT being meant to come out.

Answer:	Bought this for my daughter for my granddaughter. She loves it. It is well-made and easy to put together. My granddaughter loves it as toys are easy to reach. Daughter loves it as toys are easy to put away and neaten up room. In fact, I just ordered a second one for her.
Question:	Are the dowels made of wood or metal
Answer:	The dowels are made of metal. The sides are laminated wood and the dowels are metal. All of the pieces are good quality and durable. My 2.5 year old son is hard on stuff and it's held very nicely.
Question:	What are the dimensions of the bins
Answer:	There are two sizes of bins: the smaller (measured by outside edge of bin) are 12" X 8" The larger bins are 12"X 16" There are 4 larger bins and 8 smaller bins. Each row will hold one large and two smaller. Hope that this helps!

Answer:	A little over 3 feet. Each cube is about 1 ft in each direction.

Answer:	I suppose you could set them up without the feet but it's much sturdier with the feet. There are extra connecters without feet for the side and top and you could probably use those instead.

I have a small closet so I have my cubesat all the way up until my 10 foot ceilings.. they have a little strip that you can attach to the wall to prevent it from toppling over. actually you can pretty much buy one of those strips and add it to any cube storage unit
