Answer:	They are quite smooth, but the upward slant on the hooks work well to keep things in place. I don't use it for ties, though, so I'm not sure.

Answer:	About 14 inches. I have plenty of room for ALL of my ties and I even hang 3 belts on it also. I like it because it is simple, yet strong and does the job. I put it on the back of my closet door so when I open up to get changed, they are there.

Answer:	Place the rack where you want to install it. Use a level to make sure it's straight. Use a pencil or pen to mark the holes. Drill the marks you made and install it using the screws. If you're installing into drywall use the plastic sleeves.

Question:	how far apart are the pins on this item? are they far enough apart to use this is a thread organizer
Answer:	The hanger I received is not quite as pictured - it is rectangular, and the pins may be spaced differently. On mine, each pin has a 'head' on it that is 3/32" wide so the holes of your spools have to be at east that big. From the edge of one head to the next head, (i.e., the open space between each pin) is 3/4". The pins are inserted a little less than one and a quarter inches apart; 1.2 to be exact.
Question:	Will this Mountain to a closed too
Answer:	Yes, you can mount it to a closet with the correct length screws depending on the thickness of your closet door.
Question:	Could this be mounted easily on the inside of a closet door
Answer:	The rack is attached using 1.25" wood screws, and plastic anchors are included. You'll need an electric drill to get the anchors in, and your closet doors will need to be at least as thick as the length of the screws.

Question:	How many hangers are in the package
Answer:	This is a great belt holder. There is 7 holders on both sides of the hanger. Each hook can hold up to 4 belts. The space in the closet is not any more than the the other hangers with close on them. We are not using it for ties. It’s a great quality product.
Question:	are you able to hook a second one to the bottom and if so will they hang the same ....or the opposite.....or
Answer:	You maybe can. I may try it myself. I love this bag hanger you me have to put one of those oval rings on the bottom to connect the two.
Question:	Could this hang over the top of a door
Answer:	Probably not. The hanger is more like a metal hanger (rounded and not very thin). It also doesn't rotate, so it couldn't lay flush against the door.
Question:	There are 2 different pictures of the rack. What rack is it - same hooks all around or the round and angled hooks
Answer:	There are rounded hooks on one side and angled hooks on the other. I think the angled side might be designed for ties, but both my kids use the rack for belts only. Works great for them.

Answer:	I agree with Christine--center to center ~1-1/4" / 33 mm; a little more than 1" / 25 mm free space between. FYI, the hooks aren't very deep--you could put something in the "J" only about 9/16" / 13 mm diameter.
Question:	does this item work for necklaces
Answer:	I have only used it for ties and belts, but don't see why it wouldn't work for necklaces. I would just make sure the two sides are balanced and the necklace is hooped on, not just laid on. The rubber pieces are fairly smooth and a necklace not hooped may slide.
Question:	Does anyone know if this hanger is strong enough to hold purses and shopping bags instead of ties
Answer:	It might be strong enough, but there is not enough space between each hooks to use for purses. I'm having a tough time using it for belts.
Question:	how does this work for belts with different buckles? How many would it hold
Answer:	Hi Sandy, for belts with different hooks you can loop the belts over the tie holders. It holds up to 24 ties and should hold up to 12 belts if you loop one belt per row. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Less than a 100 pounds but more than 3 paper clips. But seriously it’s probably able to hold 4-5 pounds pretty easily. Part of its capacity is going to be based on how it’s secured and what it’s secured to.

Answer:	they are small maybe 1 inch screws not major. Not intended for a lot of weight.

Answer:	Try to find a bit just a little bigger than the anchor not a lot bigger, just barely. The anchor expands when screw is screwed in.
