Answer:	We were able to use our smart phone. But hubby MAY have gone through Alexa on the phone.

Answer:	It's in the manual towards the back. I bought mine last year and when I plugged it in it would not longer connect. Press and hold the button on the controller for 10 seconds to do a hard reset. If you had previously connected it to Alexa, delete it first. Then try to re-add it back in. I'm able to connect mine this way however after a couple minutes it disconnections and needs another hard reset...so mine is broken after only 1 Christmas. Hope this works for yours!!

Answer:	Yes, it can be removed. I have done so to replace with different material from time to time. But I continue to use the original red bag as well. It's more like a velvet material. The tree is in a half sphere block which is heavy. I love this tree. I put different lights on for different seasons. Red, white and blue for the 4th of July and part of the summer, brown, orange and amber lights for fall, pastel lights for spring and Easter and multi colored lights for Christmas.
