Or both. Or both with different blink pattern selected for really cool effect.

Can two rolls be join together as a 10m strip?

• Technically they are capable to be connected together. There are connectors on the end of the strips. But the power of the adapter is insufficient to power a 10m strips so the brightness would be dimmer.
