Test the lights before installation

• Make sure the lights are connected, and the power light up green bulb.
• Pull out the transparent chip from the button of the IR remote.
• Use the IR remote turn on the lights (IR remote aim at the IR receiver).

DIY function

About DIY function, Please follow the steps below：

Step 1: Turn on the lights. Press one of the RGB buttons. Step 2: Press the DIY1 button (the lights will change to white color for the first time). Step 3: If you need deeper red color, press and hold the red up button(at least 5 seconds), the longer you hold, the deeper red color you have. You can also press green and blue down, the changing will be more clearly. Step 4: Keep the color you just set by pressing the DIY1 button again. Step 5: Repeat the steps above to set the rest of five DIYs.

Answer:	Yes you can! I was able to connect all 4 strips together to create one long strip. All of the colors and functions will work IF the connections between the strips are good. If the colors don’t match after one of the joints it means one of the R G B connections is bad (I had this problem with one of mine and had to go back and fix it). One side effect of connecting all 4 together is that the brightness of the LEDs at the end of the 4th strip are not as bright as the ones in the 1st strip.

Question:	Does it have memory to remember what settings you last used for brightness and color
Answer:	Mine doesn’t. I’m not really impressed with it. It’s not very bright. The charge pad never worked. I wish I’d returned it but got too busy. It’s very nicely made. It looks pretty on my desk
Question:	Does it get bright enough for outdoor light for make up
Answer:	Don't buy lights like this for charging phone. They are nice lights but if I put a phone on wireless it will make the "Now charging" sound but will actually take charge away from phone now. Put it on 50ish % was at 35ish % when I took the phone off wireless pad. Weird. But like I said, the light and it's other functions are really nice. We have four of them.
