If you are intending to use this tank in a new installation, without an existing separate hot water faucet , then the installation will be more difficult since you will have to purchase the faucet somewhere and make connections to the house water supply. For such an installation you should by a kit that has a tank that looks like the Anaheim and the faucet as well. Then there will be instructions on how to install it.

Answer:	Yes, I saw the erroneous garbage disposal response too. The AH-1300 has only a one-year warranty, although you can buy an extended warranty if you wish. Our original unit operated fine for about five years before giving out. We've had the replacement, current one for a year now, and it's still functioning as advertised. A new, replacement unit isn't all that expensive, but if you have to have a plumber install it, that'll drive the cost up significantly. The plumber will probably be more than the heater.

Answer:	This one does not. I haven't found a reliable one yet that lets you use your own tap water and whatever filter. My old Elkay used 2 Brita filters, but it is about 8 years old and not what it used to be. If you happen to find one, please let us know!

Answer:	The drain is required because of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration incorporated inside of the dispenser. RO is a slow "squeezing" process of the water where all the minerals and contaminants are removed. Approximately for every 3 gallons of "good" clean water it makes, it will empty a gallon of "bad" mineral rich water down the drain. All RO systems require a feed source water line in as well as a drain line out. I hope this helps MMWP
