Answer:	They’re 16 inches whether folded or not. It depends on what size shelf you put on it.

Answer:	I used my 16" brackets on a fold-down table I put in my apartment dining space. The tabletop is 19"X43" and is a pretty heavy top. The 16" brackets, so far, have been just fine. Mine are anchored in wall studs with screws, and I think that's a necessary method to make sure they don't pull out. That's about the best I can advise on this topic. Either 20" or 16" should work for you as long as they're properly anchored.

Question:	I don't know if this is the corret place but I only received the thermos not the bento box. Do they come in separate deliveries
Answer:	I used them to raise the height of a TV cabinet. The cabinet was not an IKEA item. The handyman reinforced the bottom before putting the legs on the cabinet. No problems so far. I have no experience with a vanity and these legs.
