Once you get it started, it goes pretty quickly. The whole process takes about 15 minutes and it's really fun to see the frost start to melt then fall off. Just pcikup the chunks from the floor and toss them in some type of container. Easy peasy! |

Like any other 110V AC appliance, this would create a risk of electrocution. A GFCI outlet would reduce this risk, but would also result in losing power when it gets wet and spoiling the contents. If you want to use it in a dry, sun and rain sheltered outdoor location (inside a carport, for example), the answer would be 'probably ok'. Remember that all 'outdoor' AC outlets will be GFCI protected and if tripped you will lose your food.
