If you do hold it too long, the black marks will disappear within a few days. You are not supposed to burn them completely if you read the instructions it will explain the proper use.

Answer:	We do offer a cobalt UV blocking glass as well but it is only available through our website. Typically most of our customers utilize some type of case like our Sure Cure Vault that has a 3 digit combination to store their jars. In those cases you would not need the darker glass and the clear glass gives you a much better visual those few times you have it out.
