Answer:	I just received mine 2 months ago and had no manual or recipe book in the packaging. I found this simple recipe for Old Fashioned Vanilla ice cream and my family loves it. It is not the custard type so requires no cooking. 2 cups heavy cream. 2 cups whole milk. 3/4 cup of sugar. 2 teaspoons good vanilla ( I use one vanilla bean). Pinch of salt. Whisk all the ingredients together until smooth. Pour into ice cream canister. Layer ice and rock salt or ice cream salt in the ice cream maker's bucket and turn it on. It takes about 25 minutes until soft serve and then I put it in a freezer container until hardened. It works well for us. Amazon says you can contact the manufacturer for a manual but I just googled recipes for it. Hope his helps!

Answer:	Very Easy to use. Bought this one as a wedding present and they love it and also stated that it was easy to use. This is my second purchase for this model.

Answer:	Hello Catherine, Yes, the recipe book that came with the ice cream maker has recipes for sherbet and sorbet. I have used other recipes other than the ones in the book that it came with and they worked fine. I would think that any ice cream maker would be able to make any frozen desserts. There are also recipes for frozen yogurt.
Question:	DOes it come with a cap to cover the container while its in the freezer
Answer:	I find it best to put the leftovers in 16oz plastic containers or what size you want. It keeps for a few weeks that way.
Question:	how do you use it
Answer:	Put the mixture in the metal container and close it. Be sure the dasher/beater is in it. Hook up the motor. Start machine. Pack in layers with ice, then rock salt (1st layer goes up approx. 1/3 the height of the container), then more ice and more rock salt and continue on until you have layered up to the top. The machine should be running while you are doing this. Keep adding more ice and rock salt as it melts until the churning slows down and stops due to the thickness of the ice cream. The ice cream will be soft and should sit for a few minutes before the dasher is removed from the container. Remove the container from the ice and salt surrounding it. Freeze overnight if possible as the ice cream will harden as it freezes. Adding rennet to your ice cream mixture will insure a more solid texture but this depends on the recipe, and it is optional. Enjoy your machine. Hint: If you are using Vanilla, Mexican Vanilla will add a slightly coconut taste to some recipes....we love it and prefer the Mexican Vanilla.

Answer:	both of mine came in the same sealed package and were red. I doubt you can get the set of 2 in different colors since packaged together. If want 2 separate colors just order as individuals.

Question:	Is there a difference with using these compared to reusing a store bottom gallon container
Answer:	The ones I purchased are a little more than quart, not a gallon. But, I would say, yes, these are better. The container is thicker and the flexible lids are so easy to remove.

Answer:	Well a long time ago we learned that ice cream will melt if left out regardless of the container it is in.......hope that helps :)
Question:	Not one reivew I read mentioned freezing soup though it is included in the product info. Is this container truly recommended for freezing soup
Answer:	I have not tried freezing soup in this container but the lid fits tightly so I think it would be okay. Still, I would try to keep the container as upright as possible until the contents were frozen, just to be sure. Also, it would probably heat up better in the microwave if the contents weren't frozen to one side of the container instead of the bottom. These are quality products.
Question:	Is this worth the money? Any thoughts on it
Answer:	These containers are absolutely worth the money. I was skeptical too, but they are very high quality. They do not frost and form ice crystals inside or on the outside of the container the way that cheaper plastic or paper containers do.

Answer:	Hi,The product is actually made of three parts in total: the lid, inner tub, and outer tub. The inner tub can be removed from the outer tub. The two parts are not fixed together but are designed to make a tight fit to help with the insulation. I find that if I slightly squeeze the outer tub, this can help release some of the grip between the two parts.If you really struggle, or if a part were to break, please do let me know. Question:	What type of pen is best to use on the lid
Answer:	A whiteboard or dry marker would be ideal, but any thick pen should work well. I wouldn't recommend using a ballpoint pen, however. Regards, Loury from SUMO
Question:	How big are these containers
Answer:	Hello and thank you for your question. We produce our ice cream containers in two sizes: 1.5-Quart and 2.5-Quart. Both sizes have some slight advantages and disadvantages. Our smaller 1.5-Quart container is more compact and easier to find storage space for in a freezer. Whilst the 2.5-Quart is more suited for ice cream making enthusiasts, who may have an ice cream maker that produces a larger amount of ice cream. On the Amazon listing page for both of these products, you will see an image that details all the dimensions of the container so that you can know the precise size of the products. I hope that helps! Question:	Is the lid seal air tight
Answer:	It is not 100% air tight because there is no rubber o-ring, but the seal is very good and tight and it is more air tight than the carton of ice cream you get at a store. I've yet to have ice crystals form while storing in this container. Hope this helps : )
Question:	Does the inside break easy
Answer:	No. I have 3 of them and use them every week. Have not had any break. I do wash them by hand. Love these

Answer:	Yes they will. I am very pleased with mine - I have three but would like to send for me although postage to England is not cheap.

Answer:	Hi There! Thanks for your question. Our customers have used these in the microwave to heat up soup and leftovers with no issues! Just make sure you have at least 3/4 of the container full so we don’t end up overheating!

Answer:	I cannot answer that question I use them for whipped Shea butter but if I had to guess I would say 1 1/2 to 2 maybe they are pretty small but I use the 16oz also and they would definitely hold 2 or 3 hope this helps

Answer:	Not exactly sure what you want to do with these but they are being used to store the ice cream from the maker. Just empty into them and place in freezer.
