Answer:	Either we didn't do something right or it really doesn't work. The balls get stuck in the middle part and never come out unless you push them out. I expected the balls to roll out completely, but they dont.

Answer:	I am not sure. The ones I have now do not have the green strip on them. Perhaps with the strip you can open them by peeling apart rather than cutting them open.

The difference is you can peel the bag apart on the seam you created and then reseal it a few times.

Answer:	I've used it both ways with a newer and higher end model of the foodsaver vacuum machine. If I'm vacuuming something other than food I usually use the roll and make my own bag. For food I use the pre-made bags like these because as others have stated they do work better. If you are using the roll I recommend sealing the end that you're not vacuum packing several times a fraction of an inch away from the previous seal, similar to how the pre-cut bags are sealed. They hold better that way.
Question:	Can these bags be vacuum sealed
Answer:	There is no difference in the bags. It is just the packaging that makes them appear different.
Question:	Can these be used with a manual hand pump
Answer:	I purchased quart size bags. The box reads "Quart Size (950 ml). It doesn't show anywhere on the box the thickness of the bag unless that is the (950 ml).
Question:	can they go in freezer
Answer:	The height of the bag is 11.5", but the end is sealed so you need to keep that in mind. The bag is 7.5 ". I freeze boneless chicken breast and a good size meal fits in the bag.

Answer:	I just checked a box and did not see what the mil thickness was. I can say that the Foodsaver brand is the best kind to buy. I have a Game Saver Silver vacuum machine that I bought in August of 2011. It still works perfectly and I process a fair amount of game and seafood. I've tried other brands of vacuum material but they do not seal. I prefer the 11 inch wide rolls over the 8 inch wide rolls. They just work better for what I vacuum seal. Yesterday I was making shiskabobs for our family and pulled out some deer I had overlooked that was sealed in 2011. Started to discard it but said what the heck, let's see how it is. I also pulled out some deer from this past December. There was no difference in the smell or flavor of both packs. Vacuum sealing, when done correctly, works.
