Answer:	These containers say you can freeze food in them and you can. However, you cannot get all the air out of them which is key in the prevention of freezer burn. So if you need to use them in the freezer I would suggest a minimal time, freezing only cooled content and after frozen, transfer the frozen food to the food saver bags and remove the air. They are great containers and using them for left overs works really well.

If you were to purchase a bag that is somewhat longer than your cross country skis, it might work, although it may still be too narrow to accommodate the shovel tip on a classic ski. I feel there are better options for nordic skis.
