Answer:	Everything you need for the car is iincluded. All you need is a leash for getting out of the car for breaks. You can clip your leash right onto the harness without taking it off your dog!

Answer:	I haven't had any trouble with the buckles coming apart. When the harness is on my dog, it does fit a bit snug, but she is good at wriggling her way out of things. I keep the buckles buckled even when the harness is not on my dog, and have never had trouble with them, so I don't think it would come unbuckled if the straps were loose.
