Answer:	I don’t know, but it is very sturdy. We bought it to use in our RV, and it gets folded up and put away under the sink when we are set to move. We also bought a basket that hangs on the end and holds silverware.

Question:	what are the dimensions of the rack
Answer:	My rack is 14" long (not 15.7" as described elsewhere by another purchaser) and stands nearly 9" tall. When open, the distance between the two top rails is 10.25". Perhaps more importantly, the rack seems to small for many of the items I formerly placed in my old rack (of Japanese maniufacture of wood and blue-plastic coated wires) which, after many years, I tossed out because the wood was rotting the the blue coating was flaking off(the rack was very old). The new rack was a disappointment. I think its main problem is that the opening between the lower and upper portion is too short; the intervals between the smaller wires may also be a bit too small.

Answer:	I always clean everything new before I use it. A light rinsing down and natural drying is what I did.
