It is clear, one side smooth and one side bumpy. We did whole kitchen bumpy side up, and then realized it says to install bumpy side down. We have changed a few, but we really like bumpy side up . If cut exact, it fits nicely, stays down and your dishes/silverware or other items do not move. I lined one shelf in my refrigerator and love it. I will be lining the others as soon as I can.

Answer:	I think so. It does not have an adhesive bottom. So if it’s going to line a shelf where younger children can reach, you may want ones with adhesive so that the liner doesn’t move. I use it to line the spice shelves and it moves sometimes as I pull things out

There is no cutting guide on the back and the weave is not square, so you have to mark on the back with a T square to get a 90 degree cut.

Answer:	Thank you for your question! The pattern residue you are experiencing is likely a chemical reaction with liner and the paint. This can happen if the liner is placed on uncured paint, or if there was a clear coat applied over the paint. Unfortunately, the best way to remove this residue will be by sanding it off.

Answer:	Yes...I found this slicer to be just what I needed. Easy to clean and store. The slots are perfect for toast or sandwich size slices, but if you need a thicker slice, it is easy to skip the slice guide and double the thickness.

Answer:	The slots are not adjustable, so you can cut at every other slot OR you can move the bread forward between cuts. Moving the bread makes it difficult to get evenly sized slices, however.

Answer:	Slicer will hold a Loaf up 5 1/4 inches wide. Base of slicer is 6 inches long but slicing space is only 5 1/4 in length. slicer is 5 1/2 inches high. Slicer is a little loose, as long as you take your time and can hold the loaf and the slicer guides steady it works pretty good. I am getting better every time i use it at getting uniform slices. Good deal for the price.

Answer:	I do not have the product in front of me at this particular moment..but I am sure it is about 3/32 " in thickness...this is an excellent product..I have used it extensively in many liner applications and have found it to be easy to cut to size and stays put in the drawers...
