Answer:	It depends on how much batter you put on it and which type of batter you use but it does cover the entire waffle iron plate, 6 “ or so

Answer:	I'm not a 100% sure, but PFOA is used to make no stick coating surfaces and it does say there is a nonstick coating. The majority is burned off in the process and it is not present in significant amounts in the final products.

Answer:	Mine broke after light use (2-3 batches of waffles a year)- the first time (after 3 years) I was able to epoxy the pedestal, the next time unit was not repairable. There is a plastic piece that holds the metal axle which broke. I had the double waffle maker -- the single would probably last a lot longer. The double iron is very heavy -- too heavy for the plastic pedestal and internal parts.

Answer:	Crispiness is not achieved by any cooking "device" whether it be a frying pan, baking oven or waffle iron. Unintentionally, I know, you're asking too much of a waffle iron. With any given batter, you can get crispy from donut or fritter or waffle batters by deep frying and maybe even by hot oven baking. (It's actually counter to the traditional preference to make doughnuts from "cake batter" to make them all soft and NOT crunchy-crispy (which is still my overwhelming preference for donuts.) So given you are using waffle batter and not cake batter, that's the only further step required - deep frying or hot baking. As others point out: it's helpful to use a toaster to put the crunchy-crisp finish on the waffles as they come out of the waffle iron. ( because toasters are equivalent to hot oven baking on this topic).

Answer:	The surface is your typical nonstick surface, although if your waffle batter contains sugar they will stick. I use Pam Coconut spray and mine never stick. There is really no taste to the spray, I like it because it can hold up under a lot of heat. Hope this answer helped you.

Answer:	Cuisinart waffle maker makes a much thinner, crisper waffle. The total thickness of the waffle is about a half an inch after cooking. If you want crisp waffles, make the batter a little thinner than usual. I haven't tried to toast bread in it, but it is wonderful for making cookies on hot summer day. Spray or oil waffle maker. Spoon one normal-sized lump of cookie dough in the center of each of the four squares. Press lid down and cook for 1 minute, until lightly browned. If you are using nuts in the recipe, press lid down firmly and cook for 1 minute, 15 seconds. Fold a paper towel in half several times to make a pad, and use a fork to lift the cookie onto the pad, then onto a cooling rack. It works for most kinds of drop cookies.

I always watch the steam and when it stops I know the waffle is done. I have not been sorry I bought this style and it makes delicious waffles everytime.

Answer:	There are actually 3 products pictured - one with red and green, one with green only, and the one with the dial and power in the base. I used the 'image report tool' only to get told that that one in particular (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/417o6JERgML.jpg) needs "no change" to the image.
Question:	What's the point of this? Does flipping truly make a better waffle? How so
Answer:	No, it really doesn't. I have a cheap waffle maker that doesn't flip and it cooks perfectly on both sides. I had this flip waffle maker at one time and the handle connections broke while trying to wash it. It maybe had a dozen uses before breaking.

Question:	Does this come with interchangeable plates, like plates to make mini waffles? Some hotels that I stayed at, had waffle makers that made 4 mini waffles
Answer:	It's one big waffle that has baked perforations you can pull apart into 4 smaller waffles, if you have kids with small appetites or a dieter. Cooked excellent on #4 setting which made them a perfect golden brown. Look at the video directly underneath the item's picture. It is the last dot to the right. Click on it and play the short instructional video. Amazon is good about that. This item was top pick from Comsumer Reports. That is why I bought it and because it is the model a lot of hotels use in their complimentary breakfast room. Very durable. I also like the drop pan for spills. Make sure to follow the video and you will not have it running over. It makes a perfect no mess waffle as long as you use the cup that comes with it and quick guide and follow the directions on the waffle batter mix you use and do not over whip/mix. Only mix by hand also. I only needed to read over the quick guide once and read in 30 seconds. Real easy peasy. 😊

Answer:	I use diastatic malt powder in my batter to make really crunchy but soft inside waffles and also don't spray or butter the waffle maker

Answer:	Depends on how much matter you put in but not super thick like Belgian...has channels on side to collect any over flow which is good because I usually make a mess.

Answer:	According to the instructions, the "Green" light will only turn on when the unit is "Ready" - meaning, hot enough to begin cooking. The Red light is only to indicate that the power is on. No beeps or buttons. The green light will come on only when it needs to heat the unit to the predetermined temperature. It has nothing to do with "if" or "when" your waffle is done. Some people enjoy "crispy" waffles. That will take about 5 minutes - from the time the green light turns on. If the green light turns off and the time is less than 5 minutes, then your waffle won't be as crispy as you may want.
