Answer:	It depends on how much batter you put on it and which type of batter you use but it does cover the entire waffle iron plate, 6 “ or so

Answer:	I'm not a 100% sure, but PFOA is used to make no stick coating surfaces and it does say there is a nonstick coating. The majority is burned off in the process and it is not present in significant amounts in the final products.

Answer:	Mine broke after light use (2-3 batches of waffles a year)- the first time (after 3 years) I was able to epoxy the pedestal, the next time unit was not repairable. There is a plastic piece that holds the metal axle which broke. I had the double waffle maker -- the single would probably last a lot longer. The double iron is very heavy -- too heavy for the plastic pedestal and internal parts.

Answer:	Set to high, add 3/4 cup of waffle mix, leave for vacation. should be nice and crisp by day 3 and as a bonus everything else in the house will be crispy also.

Answer:	There is no timer. There is a green light when the iron is to temp. You just need to keep checking the waffle by lifting lid slightly to see if sticking (not done). I must admit, I made probably a box worth of batches, with 3 different brands of mix and they NEVER turned out like the picture. Never could get them to brown. = ( good luck to you!

Answer:	While I realize this question was posted a few years ago (and the fact that yes, the squares or holes in the iron are deep), you should use a recipe that has yeast in the batter for an excellent rise and restaurant type flavor. I never knew that and could never figure out why my waffles used to always be flimsy and lacking in flavor. I always use this type and let the batter rise in the refrigerator overnight. It's very convenient to only have to take it out in the morning and bake. Answer:	It says to only use a silicon brush and after it is heated, brush with oil. I only used it on the first waffle, since the plates had been washed. I don't like spraying with Pam as it goes over everything.

Answer:	No just adjustable time and it gets pretty hot very happy with the gift. My husband got it for me .

Answer:	The coating appears to be non-stick but not like the Teflon I've seen. It seems more like a coated metal. The instructions say to spray before using, and we do that. Never had a problem with sticking. The waffles just drop off. Yummmm.
