Question:	What exactly is the non-stick surface made of? I see it is pfoa free but that does not tell me what the actual non-stick surface is made of
Answer:	The nonstick surface is PFOA free, but it is not PTFE free. These substances, while both potentially toxic, are different. Note: Many cookware and bakeware manufacturers have switched from PFOA non-stick coatings to PTFE non-stick coatings. People are becoming increasingly aware that PFOA contain compounds that are harmful, but fewer people are aware that PTFE compounds are also harmful.
