3 best internal harddrives
Internal hard drives, while not directly related to Grain Mills, Food Grinders, Specialty Appliances, or Kitchen Dining, are crucial components in the world of computing and data storage. They are typically associated with computers and data storage devices rather than kitchen appliances. Here's some information about internal hard drives:
Storage Devices: Internal hard drives are data storage devices used primarily in computers and laptops. They are responsible for storing and retrieving digital information, including the operating system, software, files, and user data.
Types of Internal Hard Drives: There are two primary types of internal hard drives:
Hard Disk Drives (HDDs): These drives use spinning magnetic disks to store data. They have been around for decades and are known for their capacity and affordability. However, they are generally slower than Solid-State Drives (SSDs).
Solid-State Drives (SSDs): SSDs use flash memory to store data. They are faster and more reliable than HDDs due to their lack of moving parts. SSDs are commonly found in modern computers and are favored for their speed and durability.
Capacity: Internal hard drives come in a range of capacities, from small drives with a few hundred gigabytes to larger drives with multiple terabytes of storage space. The choice of capacity depends on the user's storage needs.
Installation: Installing an internal hard drive in a computer typically involves opening the computer case, connecting the drive to the motherboard and power supply, and securing it in a drive bay.
Operating System and Data Storage: Internal hard drives are used to store the operating system and software applications, as well as user-generated files, such as documents, photos, videos, and music.
Backup and Data Security: It's essential to regularly back up data stored on internal hard drives to prevent data loss in case of drive failure or other issues. Users often employ external hard drives or cloud-based services for data backup.
Upgrades: Users can upgrade their internal hard drives to increase storage capacity or improve system performance. This is a common practice in laptops and desktop computers.
External Connections: While internal hard drives are meant to be installed within a computer, external hard drives provide a portable and convenient way to expand storage or back up data. External drives can be connected to computers via USB, Thunderbolt, or other interfaces.
In summary, internal hard drives are essential components of computers and laptops used for data storage, including operating systems, software, and user files. They come in different types, capacities, and are a critical aspect of computer maintenance, data security, and storage management.

Grind wheat, oats, corn, rice, and other low-moisture, low-oil grains. This all-metal grain mill simply attaches to the hub of your stand mixer for quick and easy milling. Choose from 'cracked' to extra fine consistency. For everything you want to make. KitchenAid.
Cooking from scratch is made easier with a stand mixer, and made all the more literal with this grain mill attachment. Use it to make flour out of wheat, corn, rye, oats, rice, buckwheat, barley, and millet--any low-moisture, non-oily grain (peanuts and coffee are a no-no with this tool). Make up to 10 cups at a time. The mill is sturdy, heavy, and easy to assemble and attach to the mixer's hub. Adjust the knob to the desired grind, fill the unit with grains, and crank it up to 10. When you're through, brush it clean with the small brush included in the kit. If you need to, wash it by hand, but don't put it in the dishwasher. --Betsy Danheim

User questions & answers
Question: | This mill can grind dry herbs and spices |
Answer: | its' not recommended for herbs/spices but as long as they are fully dry and not oily (i.e. no rosemary) it will work. But if you primary want to grind herbs/spices I'd recommend use an actual spice grinder or a cheap coffee grinder. this grain mill is way overkill for that. |
Question: | I have an Accolade 400. Will this grinder work for me? Thank you |
Answer: | Hi, I have KitchenAid KP26M1XER 6 Qt. Professional 600 Series Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer - Empire Red. Will this attachment work with it? |
Question: | I want to use this with roasted almonds to make almond butter. My brother has a Champion that makes butter easily. Anyone done any roasted nuts |
Answer: | I use my food processor to make almond or other nut butters. I toast the nuts then grind them in the food processor adding just a small amount of almond or walnut oil at the end to get the right consistency. It's much better than the "fresh-ground" at stores, because they use low grade/older nut stock, so it's not usually fresh tasting at all. Good luck! |
Question: | Has anyone had problems or success grinding malt for home brewing purposes |
Answer: | Yes, I used to successfully use the mill for grinding malt when I was home brewing. Cracked many 50 pound bags of malt over the years. You do not want to set it to too fine a grind, just set it so the malt is barely cracked. |

Product description
Why mill your own flour, when it's so readily available? Commercial mills remove 30 percent of the wheat kernel, removing the most nutritious part of the grain to make white flour. Milling your own flour not only ensures that your flour is as nutritious as it can be, it has a wonderful taste that is lost to commercially made whole-grain flour.
NutriMill is the world's most popular maker of grain mills, and the NutriMill Classic has been its #1 selling mill for over 10 years! The NutriMill Classic electric grain mill uses a high speed impact chamber (also called a micronizer) with stainless steel milling heads to create flour from grains and beans. The NutriMill Classic has raised the bar for grain mill design with new features and abilities users have asked for—a combination of features found in no other impact mill.
The new design of the NutriMill Classic's impact chamber allows you to put grain into the hopper before you turn it on with no risk of plugging the mill, which can happen with older mill designs. Even if stopped during grinding, the NutriMill Classic restarts again without trouble.
With the Nutrimill Classic you have the ability to grind from super fine, much finer than any other impact mill, to coarser flour you need for perfect corn bread. Its impact grain milling heads provide a 400% range of adjustment from fine to coarse, ten times greater than earlier impact mills.
The NutriMill Classic allows you to grind up to 20 cups of flour at one time! Its grain hopper and flour bin are perfectly matched so you never have to worry about an overfilled mess. Convenient, powerful & fast: Just pour grain in the hopper, turn the NutriMill Classic on, and its powerful 10 amp, 1-3/4 hp motor does the rest, quickly producing your choice of fine, medium or coarse flour. The NutriMill Classic's impact grinding mechanism is self cleaning, and it operates dust-free, so grinding grain won't mean extra housecleaning later. Its one piece design, easy-grip handles, and light weight make the NutriMill Classic easy to move.
The versatile NutriMill Classic grinds wheat (both hard and soft), oat groats (dehulled oats), rice, triticale, kamut, spelt, dry beans, lentils, dent (field) corn, popcorn, dried sweet corn, split peas, buckwheat, barley, rye, millet, teff, quinoa, amaranth, sorghum, dried mung beans and soybeans. It will also grind dried, minimally-sprouted grain. The NutriMill Classic isn't suitable for herbs, spices, oilseeds like flax, chopped chestnuts or fibrous materials. Also note that when set for coarser meal texture, the NutriMill Classic's output remains too fine for making cereal grinds. The Nutrimill Classic is an outstanding machine for making a full range of flour and meal textures.
Protects nutrients: The NutriMill Classic keeps your flour at temperatures typically about 118° that protect the nutrients in your grains. Its new airflow design makes the NutriMill Classic the world's coolest-running impact mill. With a sound level about like a vacuum cleaner, the NutriMill Classic is much quieter than the first generation of impact mill designs.
With a Limited Lifetime Warranty you can be sure your Nutrimill Clasic will output flour reliably for years to come.
- Advanced technology: Improved texture control, stronger milling heads, unique Force Flow sound/air chamber design which results in 50% noise reduction, improved motor cooling, and longer life.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this work by crushing or cutting (with a blade |
Answer: | This works by crushing. |
Question: | Has anyone used this mill to create sprouted wheat flour? (Sprouting, then dehydrating, to dry the wheat berries. Thanks |
Answer: | I grind sprouted wheat. I use a dehydrator to dry the spouted wheat well. When grinding I use a utensil to move the wheat right by the feed as it grinds so that it keeps feeding through. |
Question: | Will it grind whole kernel corn into a very fine, flour-like consistency |
Answer: | Whole kernel corn is too large to feed through the mechanism. This mill will grind popcorn or cracked field corn - like you might feed birds. And yes it will grind either of those into a fine flour. It will NOT adjust so that you can grind into a coarse corn meal. I add the corn flour to Kamut flour (also ground in the mill) to produce a very heavy bread that is super as toast in the mornings. |
Question: | HI, I am torn between purchasing a NutriMill vs a WonderMill |
Answer: | I had the Wondermill and switched to the NutriMill for 3 reasons: 1. The footprint on the countertop or in storage was greater with the Wondermill with the side flour cannister. That was huge for me because I wanted to leave it out and accessible. I use yummy freshly milled flour in most all of my baked goods in addition to bread but If you have to haul it out every time you want to use it for something small, i.e. 3 c. for a cake for example, you are more likely to think twice about it and say "next time'. :( I love NM being one component. 2. There was no true coarse setting with the WM...NM's coarsest can actually be used for hot cereal. I wish it could be a little coarser yet, but it is doable, whereas the WM is just varying degrees of fine flour. 3. The NM is not vulnerable to power outage while grinding or being stopped while grain is still in the hopper whereas the WM is vulnerable and that could break the burring teeth. Why stop the mill mid stream. One time the WM tube became clogged while milling and I had to turn it off mid-stream with wheat still in the hopper. I had to separate the flour container and clean out the compaction, the dump the wheat back out of the hopper and pound the machine to try to get all of the wheat berries out of the interior chamber before turning it back on and starting over to avoid damage to the grinding teeth/burrs. I sold my WM and switched to the NM. |

Why You Need a Grain Mill
Whole grains are a super food. The problem is most of the time when a product is labeled whole grain it really isn't.
Because milled grains have a short shelf life many of the naturally existing oils and minerals are removed from commercially milled flour and additives are put in to improve 'nutrition' and 'freshness'. The result is you consuming chemicalized food.
