Answer:	Did you put water in with the rice? Usually ratio of 1:1.5 1 cup rice, 1.5 cups water. True with almost any steamer.

Answer:	I don’t know the exact size. I’ve thrown the box away but I usually cook a 3 pound bag of broccoli in one tray with room left in the tray

Answer:	Yes, there is a warm button, but the cooking water is hot enough to continue to steam for five minutes or so. Keeping food warm has never been a problem. In the bottom part, I take the shrimp or whatever meat I prepared, and put it on a plate. I then put a protective cover on my table and put the upper part of the steamer on it, and serve the vegetables so as to not dirty another dish to wash.

Question:	Is it possible to make only half a cup of dry rice in this or do you need to put at least 1 cup in for it to function properly
Answer:	Maybe. Since the ratio of brown rice to water is about 1 cup rice: 2 cup water the volume of pot is maxed out prior to cooking. Water and brown rice is full to the top. If you cook more than 1 cup brown rice you should get a larger capacity cooker. The measuring cup supplied with the cooker is 6 ounces full, rather than standard US 8 ounce cup of measurement.

Answer:	The insert measures 6" across by 2 1/2 deep, Total dimensions of the cooker is 8 1/2 tall by 5 1/2 across. This is a mini rice cooker enough for 2 cups of rice for two. I like it because I do not have any left over rice.

Answer:	Sticky mess? You must rinse the dry rice in water, until the water is clear. This removes the starchy powder which causes your cooked rice problem. —Buy the correct type of rice for your needs. Be aware of the labels on the packaging. Medium grain rice is ‘sticky rice’ like in sushi. Long grain rice is the soft fluffy kind.

Question:	Can you cook any kind of rice with this steamer
Answer:	The interior at the top is 3 3/4 inches diameter. It tapers down to about an inch less (2 3/4) at the bottom. It's true stainless steel, as it doesn't rust even though we keep it in the sink to hold used cutlery waiting to be loaded into the dishwasher.
Question:	What size of rice basket can be put inside? What is the size of the two steaming racks
Answer:	There are no perforations at the bottom. I do not know if it rusts as I am using the ones I ordered for a wine holder for a boat.
Question:	Does this steamer have a keep-warm function? Or how can I keep food warm inside till ready to consume
Answer:	can easily hold 20-30 spoons/forks. I am using as a caddy in a cabinet to hold all my over-sized/rarely used cooking utensils and bring out the whole caddy only when I need them. If you've every been to a school or hospital cafeteria, these caddies are identical to what they use there to house forks/spoons, etc.

1. In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar and baking powder. Make well in center; pour in milk, stirring until jagged dough is formed. Add water and oil; stir until combined, adding more water if needed to bring dough together.

2. On lightly floured surface, knead dough for 5 to 7 minutes or until smooth and soft. Place in bowl; cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.

Answer:	Use stock or broth instead of water for added flavor. Margarine or butter may also be added after cooking. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR COOKING PASTA 1. Remove steamer tray. 2. Add desired amount of dry pasta to cooker with basket. 3. Add approximately 6-8 cups of water for every 12 oz of dry pasta. Add enough water to completely cover the dry pasta. 4. Microwave for suggested time on pasta package. 5. Lift basket to drain. TIPS . For best results cook pasta as directed on the package. . For spaghetti, linguini and other noodles, break noodles to fit inside cooker. . It is not necessary to add oil to the water. . Do not fill cooker more than 3.4 full. Answer:	Height is 6.5 inches. Diameter is 9 inches. I'm not sure about the 3rd dimension... maybe it is the total width including the handles.

Answer:	IF your keeping enough water in it. But I would not recomend it. for if it get dry or out of water it will burn and melt the pot. My grandchild did not put enough water in the rice cooker and by the time the microwave setting was over it burnt a hole in the bottom. I would recomend another method for beans as they take a long time to cook even in the Microwave. Flavor would not be the same either.

Answer:	The slow cooker function is high and runs around 165+ F. The "keep warm" function is low and is 145ish F degrees.

Answer:	Hi Judy - Yes this does have a beeper. When the rice is done it beeps on and off for about 5-6 seconds and automatically switches to keep warm. Once you're done you can press the power button and it toggles off so no need to unplug.
Question:	Does the lid lock while the food is cooking, or can you add new ingredients/spices halfway through
Answer:	You do not want the lid to be removable because that would require an extra (third) hand for operating the devise; and a clean and safe place to set down a removed lid. It is sufficient for the pot alone (and steamer tray) to be removable.
Question:	Can you cook noodles in it
Answer:	I have the 8-cup one and the brown rice setting cooks quinoa perfectly! You have to soak it first (minimum 6 hours) but it comes out fully cooked, light and fluffy! I just purchased the larger 20-cup cooker (the 8-cup doesn't hold enough veggies for me) and am sure the brown rice setting on the larger cooker will make quinoa perfectly as well.

Question:	Is the slow cooker setting high or low? Most recipes say 4-6 hours for high and 8-10 hours for low. Does it turn off automatically
Answer:	U.S 120 volt plug only. If you what to use in UK used the plug adapter it will burn out the unit. You do need the step down transformer from 240v to 120v with 5 amp. Search Amazon I find this "BESTEK Universal Travel Adapter 220V to 110V Voltage Converter with 6A 4-Port USB Charging and UK/AU/US/EU Worldwide Plug ". I am not working for Bestek just try to help.
