Convection cooking involves the use of a fan to circulate hot air evenly around the food, which helps to cook it more quickly and evenly. Here are some key features and information about countertop ovens with convection:
Size and Design: Countertop ovens with convection are designed to sit on your kitchen counter, making them a space-saving alternative to traditional built-in ovens. They come in various sizes, so you can choose one that fits your cooking needs and available counter space.
Cooking Functions: These ovens typically offer a range of cooking functions, including baking, roasting, broiling, toasting, and sometimes even air frying. This versatility makes them suitable for a wide variety of recipes and dishes.

User questions & answers
Question: | How much air gap do you need around it for safety |
Answer: | I would give this toaster a good amount of room, at least a couple of inches for the external heat to clear; mine is on a free standing rack -- I would not use this under cabinets because it just gives off too much heat. |
Question: | I am getting conflicting data on decisions. Just need to know the Exact Height? (only have room for |
Answer: | 12 15/16th, or 13" if you include what's melted onto the top. Top gets very hot. FYI the cheesy plastic knob that controls the on/off timer (bottom of three on the right) broke on mine. They won't sell me a replacement knob. They're suggestion was to buy another of their toaster ovens. Hard for me to look kindly on this outfit. |
Question: | how many heating units does it have |
Answer: | I think they mean heating elements. Normally, for this size convection oven, there are 2 heating elements, one on top, one on the bottom, with a fan to equalize the heat. Occasionally the replace the fan with a third heating element on the rear wall if the appliance. I cannot tell you the specific set up for this make / model, but you can be pretty sure it is one of the two that I described here |
Question: | Does it have toast setting for toast |
Answer: | No and I wouldn't recommend it for just making toast. I had the original model of this oven and it provided 10 faithful years of hard service cooking rotisserie chickens, roasts, pizzas, reheating left overs (pizza, fried chicken, fish, fries, etc,) and all kinds of other dishes but toast is not something that use it for (serious overkill for toast). Thanksgiving we heat and toast rolls 24 at a time and bake pies in it but that's a little different. I bought this to replace the original oven which was still working well but our daughter broke the timer and it was getting rather annoying having to plug and unplug the oven to use it. New one is working very well, seems to be made even better and it fits all the original utensils so now we have extras :-) . In the summer when the AC is working it's butt off (it gets really hot here) this is my go to oven because it doesn't heat the whole kitchen up like the big oven does. I have cooked literally everything in this that I cook in a big oven with the exception of our turkeys (because a 20+ lb bird just isn't going to fit) and it cooks just as well if not better every time. I also have a Pressure Oven as well and I actually prefer this oven and I often opt for this oven over the microwave as well. Awesome oven but not really a "toaster" oven but I suppose you could do that on a baking rack like what I use to heat up fried chicken, fish fillets, fries ... just one heck of a lot of power for toasting bread ... |
