I'm lucky, I only have to use these ovens twice a year for summer camp. I feel sorry for anyone who has to use them every day. |

Answer: | I'm not sure of the wattage, but I have it plugged into a regular 110 wall outlet and it works great. I like this oven (makes great nachos! and the place down the street uses it to warm biscuit sandwiches that are delicious) but there's a couple of things to mention. It has a fairly loud timer beeper that seems very long... I think it's maybe 15 seconds? Apparently it is required for commercial use and there is no way to turn it off. There is a workaround- leaving the timer set to 'always on' and then turning on the heat as needed. This leaves the fan on continuously but the fan ball bearing is rated for 15,000 hours which is incredible. The biscuit place uses this method. We discovered that we actually really like the beeper because we have loud music and crowds. It's not annoying and helps the servers. The biscuit place is super tiny (3 tables and a 4 stool bar) that does mostly quiet breakfasts so I see why they leave it set to 'always on.' The other thing, and this is very minor, is that we make these huge nachos so chips and cheese get in the oven. When you wipe the stuff out it falls in the crack between the front door and the over and is a bit of a pain to get out. You have to put a finger in there and push it to the side. Overall I would definately recommend this oven. We've had no issues in 2 years of service. |

Answer: | The oven has three shelves, each of which is supposed to hold a half-sized sheet pan. Be advised that not every "half size" pan will fit -- the oven is about 1/2 inch too narrow and about 3 inches to shallow to accommodate a standard sheet pan (like one used in cake and cookie baking") The company sells it's own pans ($50 each-- outrageous price for a sheet of thin metal). It says it will accommodate half size pans that caterers use-- those deeper thin aluminum things-- and it does, but not the flat cookie, sheet cake pans. Also it is a convection oven, which means it has a fan, so it is extremely loud. It does not require venting-- the pipe in the back is for intake, not venting, but it still needs some room around it like all heated appliances. I bought this for a home business baking meringue cookies-- the fan was so strong the cookies blow off the pans-- the pans are so thin the bottoms burn. I had to buy a deflector to tone down the fan and that caused cold spots in the oven. The temperature is not accurate-- if you want 325 degrees it has to a be set at least 75 degrees hotter-- that's without the deflector. It also takes a very long time for the temperature to come back up after the door is open for even a little bit of time. Personally, I paid about $800 for this oven-- it was new but out of the box because someone bought it and decided they didn't want it. It retails for about $1200 I think. I am disappointed in it-- mostly because of the sizing and not being able to use standard half size pans and the temperature thing. |

Answer: | I bought this a short time back and also use it more than my oven. For guys it cooks fast and healthy because it drains a lot of the oils as it cooks. I don't know how it does it, but you can also cook frozen stuff quick and easy. I line the pan with foil so I don't have to wash it. I also spray the rack to make it easier to wash and soak it in the pan before washing. So, for single guys who it can save a lot of money using it to cook meals instead of eating out. Buy it. |

Answer: | If it is there, it will be on the back next to the word serial, about half way down on the left side. It appears that some of these are missing their serial number which seems like a serious problem to me. I see the serial number no other place on the oven. |

Answer: | The broiler pan and rack appear to be, since it has not rusted in all the time I have owned the oven using it under steam settings often. I am disappointed that the interior rack appears not to be stainless because it has rusted. I do think that it may have been prevented, though I did not know it was rusting in time, by leaving the door ajar to let the remaining steam dry out. Even though it has rusted, it is still usable and I would still purchase the oven because I love and use it that much! |
Question: | Does anyone know why there is a CA prop 65 warning on this product? Is it due to the electrical wires or the unit itself |
Answer: | I would say that the Prop 65 warning is because of the plastic water reservoir. I would imagine that the water gets warm or even hot sitting on the side of the hot oven and it’s sitting in the plastic which is then being leached into the water. That’s my guess. I’m concerned with these toxic chemicals and it’s the first thing I thought of. Too bad, because everything else about it seems perfect and I was wanting to try it! see less |

The oil tray fits on the bottom of the oven and is also non stick and requires a wipe to clean. The interior of the oven is simply wiped off as well. Turn the steam on then wipe the oven dry. Simple. This oven is well built and a pleasure to use. If you want more trays etc get in touch with customer service. |
