Answer:	The lap function is hard set to 1 mile, so I assume you are refering to the Run/Walk interval option, which you can set either to any time up to 10 minutes. So you could set the Run time to 30 seconds followed by the Walk time to 30 seconds. At the end of each interval, there are 3 beeps followed by a 5 beep tune, which should be loud enough to hear. It does not vibrate.
Question:	What is the blending rod used for
Answer:	No. Does not give grids, lats, or longs. Battery only lasts for about four hours and is not a directional GPS. Distance, time, rate of travel, calories burned. Basically it would tell you that your slowly dying;-)

Answer:	Hello JC, The Hobart 1⁄6 H.P. has an Hobart Designed Fixed Speed Motor which is far superior to the variable speed design of the KitchenAid range. The Hobart motor is a commercial heavy duty motor and built for heavy duty work. Whereas the little motor in the KitchenAid is way smaller and made for very light duty. From memory the Hobart mixer is built for a 100% Duty Cycle whereas the KitchenAid range are for light duty (30% duty cycle I think) despite their claims. The commercial KitchenAid mixer has an operating time of 10 to 15 minutes when the mixer will overheat and then KitchenAid recommend a 30 minute cool down. You cant really compare an Hobart N50 with a KitchenAid of any kind. The only connection between the two is that Hobart introduced the KitchenAid design and back then it WAS a very good mixer, some of the Hobart models are still running to day. Hobart sold off the KitchenAid brand to Whirlpool and that was the end of a very good mixer. Answer:	There's also a big difference in how commercial companies like Hobart and consumer companies like Kitchenaid and Vitamix report power (I'm aware that Vitamix makes commercial blenders, but their power reporting habits seem to have been developed by their consumer marketing department). Consumer companies wildly overstate the power of their appliances. I don't know what formulas they use, but the math doesn't even add up. The horsepower rating of a Vitamix or top end Kitchenaid mixer would be impossible to run on a household 15 amp circuit. Hobart rates its machines conservatively. Not just based on some fantasy formula, but based on actual sustained output. When they say the mixer is 1/6 horsepower, they mean it can put out that power all day long and still last years in a commercial environment. When Vitamix says 2+horsepower, maybe they're talking about what the motor can put out very briefly in some specialized test when it's not attached to the blender. When KA says their mixer is 1-1/3 horsepower, the marketing team is smoking something I can't afford.
Question:	Does the appliance come with all attachments in place, or do they just plug in as needed? Looks like a monstrousity sitting with everything on it
Answer:	The motor draws 3.2 amps or around 380 to 400 watts. Less than what home style kitchen aids draw, however a completely different principle for power. This motor runs at full capacity all the time, whereas the home mixers only run at full power on the highest speed. This gets its power through a transmission.
Question:	Mixer hooks are stainless steel or not
Answer:	I don't know about this one (I'm not near mine, to check if it says), but a Williams-Sonoma ad for a similar model says it is made in China. (Isn't everything, these days?) Wikipedia says company is Australian.
