The visible pin top looks like a center placed stud similar to the end studs you see in the picture. Stays in place quite well. Even while riding the motorcycle I have never had any incidents with it accidently opening. I did have to tighten the screw into the pin after first week of wearing it. Just used a vice grip to hold pin side still and a flat head screwdriver to tighten. The factory assembler should have tightened it better. Have not had a problem with the screw/pin combo loosening since I properly tightened it. The larger size after months of wearing now is 8" and the smaller adjustment size is 7.5". Still very good condition, comfortable, easy to clean up, and highly durable as it has withstood lots of abuse from being around dirty demo/construction/automotive work regularly. |
