Answer:	NO! It is not. The description says it is but it is not. I had an Amana for 40 years and it WAS STAINLESS STEEL INSIDE.

Answer:	When I bought this microwave, I was astonished at how loud it was. When my previous microwaved died - I knew it was happening because of the change in sound from a quiet fan noise to a much deeper sound. When I installed this Farberware microwave, it immediately was the deeper, louder sound. If I programmed this Farberware to cook at power level 3 the loud sound went on and off during the cook cycle. So I read the one star reviews more closely and noticed there are some significant patterns of failure of this unit. I did call the Farberware help line and they said, "That sounds about like the one in our break room" ( I cannot make this stuff up!) So I returned mine and bought another brand from Amazon. The replacement unit operates at the expected quieter level.

Answer:	I looked on the back of ours and it has a date but not the place of manufacture. Amana used to be made in the USA but I wouldn't guarantee it. As for a recommendation, my wife has hand pain from years at work and couldn't push the button to open the door or set the time on our last microwave (she would use a wooden spoon) and loves this dial and handle on the door. Perfect for her!
