Question:	Brand new, red light for overload protection keeps flashing & will not go on low or high. Anyone else run into this problem
Answer:	I just got the machine and only used it once, but if you check the manual under Troubleshooting, page 38, it states "the food processor shuts off during operation," it explains about motor overload and the LCD light flashing. Not sure if that's the problem, but was the only one I could find. Good luck!
Question:	How long do the juices stay good if you make them ahead and refrigerate

Answer:	I have been juicing since 1973. The Breville is a superior quality machine. Only a Norwalk press is better. The price of this machine is a steal! To get carrot discoloration off, soak in bleach water periodically for 12-24 hours. 1/2 cup of bleach in enough water to submerge the parts completely ( 5 gallon bucket half full). Rinse thoroughly and scrub down with soft plastic scrubber or brush, assemble the machine and run it with jar and pulp bin on. Run cool water through it in smallish bursts. Then run until dry. Let air out for at least a few hours. I guarantee it is harmless. I’ve been using that technique for 45 years.

Question:	Is the pulp very wet? I am looking into this and a few have said that the Breville models leave very wet pulp
Answer:	I had this juicer in the past and the pulp is as other described..dampish saw dust. However, I have recently gotten the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor which I dislike. The pulp for that is wet and the way it shoots the pulp out to the catcher, causes spinach and other leafy veggies to shoot out into the catcher before ever getting the chance to juice. I may be going back to this original juicer as it seemed to work much better. Never had a problem with anything I juiced. And yes, much like Yams,Beets, and parsnips, potatoes have juice too...not sure why you would want to juice one though. Overall, I prefer this juicer over the other Breville models as they also leave particles in your juice (such as cucumber skins and parsley stems). I never had a problem like that with this model.

Answer:	I just got this a month ago and the box and tags from Breville state right on it that it is all BPA Free Plastic. No BPA here.
Question:	What kind of fruits/vegetables cannot be juiced on this machine? I used GE juicer - the cheap one. When I tried to juice seaweed, it did not come out much juice but with a lot of pump
Answer:	Tons of fruits and vegetables can be juiced with this machine! But, there needs to be juice in them first. Things like Bananas, maybe potatoes, and, from the sound of it, seaweed, don't have much juice to give. You may get a little, but it will probably just mince it for you. Now, apples, oranges, carrots (surprising to me), peaches, plums, pears, berries, grapes, tomatoes: so much beautiful juice. There are more. Many, many more. Mint leaf, spinach... etc. This is a fine blender, but make sure to follow the directions on specific fruits where care must be taken (Peaches have giant pits, for example).

Answer:	I found it! I hate veggies and I started juicing. I can't take much sweet fruits so this is good! Saw this post and played with it. Enjoy Pizza flavored Green juice 2"diameter size Kumato tomatos or any tomato you like. I use Kumato Hand full of Endive about 3 leaves pulled off 1/4 of a LARGE head of Cauliflower. I used the orange cauliflower it taste the same has different nutritional values 1 to 2 hands full of baby spinach small handful baby carrots 1 three inch English cucumber AKA Hot House cucumber Not peeled. 2 1/2 oz of your favorite pizza sauce1/4 red pepperLittle bit of fresh African or Italian basil Little bit of fresh oregano Separate from veggies take 2 1/2 oz of your favorite pizza sauce. I used Von's Brand Select. DO NOT put this in with the veggies in your juicer instead put it in the juice cup the juice comes out into. This is only for the pizza flavor ! This is very good and very close to Pizza sauce without the little pizza sauce added ,I am thinking becausse of the tomatos are cooked in pizza sauce, so you might want to try the ingrediants with cooked tomato instead of pizza sauce. Answer:	It works, but not the best juicer I've ever owned. Very wet pulp (wasted juice) and chunks of fruit in my juice. I had better performance from a $40 juicer.
Question:	I am having trouble with my greens (spinach, kale). They get thrown to the pulp catcher before even getting juiced. Is there a trick I am missing
Answer:	I'm having the same problem with all the spinach, no matter how I ball it up goes right into the pulp catcher. Very annoying as it isn't super easy to get out of the catcher to put it back in with out taking the whole thing apart. Or struggle to get the catcher out from the lip. It also spits out parts skins and stems from cucumber and parsley into my juices. I had the Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain 700-Watt Juice Extractor or something exactly like it in the past that I feel worked much better and less parts to clean. I may go back to this one.
Question:	What do you do with the pulp
Answer:	We take the pulp, add olive oil, water, salt, grated ginger, cumin and some flour to make a stiff dough. Roll it out between two pieces of baking paper until it is quite thin. With the dough still between the paper, use the back of a table knife to make squares running the knife side to side and up and down. Bake in a 200 degree oven 5-10 minutes on each side. Allow to cool and you have your own crackers. You may need to play with the ingredients until you get them to be crisp without browning them too much. I do it by feel and by eye so you will get to it....otherwise you will throw the pulp away. We use all organic fruits and vegetables with success and love our homemade crackers.

Answer:	Those attachments can not reach the bottom of the bowl in order to protect it. Because if the beaters etc reach the bottom of the bowl, the friction can damage the bowl and put extra strain on the mixer's motor. If the attachments are rubbing against the bowl, there will be some wear on the bottom of the attachment or you can see small circular scratches on the bottom of the bowl. Those damage will shorten the service life of the stand mixer.

Answer:	This juicer I can proudly say should be among the best juicers if not the best. It is so compact making it occupy a very small area on the kitchen top. This juicer, is so quiet you can hardly hear it working and the juice it produces, is more than fantastic. The pulp after juicing is also and always very dry like laundry out of a hot drier. I can conclude that, this Breville juicer is the father of all masticating juicers available in the market.

Answer:	I highly recommend the Big Squeeze to Cold XL for multiple reasons- the mixing blade is designed and grooved to extract the greatest amount of liquid as possible, while the XL is intended to do the same, beyond the spinning blade, your ingredients remain juicy as exhibited by your waste basket. Also, the juice mixing function allows you to mix various ingredients for a more complete flavor profile, whereas the XL is releases upon completion. Both offer similar shoot capacity (small to medium apple) but only the Big Squeeze allows for a hefty portion of ingredients prior to disposal. Lastly, the design requires less countertop space. To top it off- the clean up is much easier with the Big Squeeze.
Question:	My breville juicer i currently have, extracts a lot of juice from a carrot. (not a masticati does the big squeeze extract a lot of juice from carrots
Answer:	Yes!... the carrot pulp left is almost dry... We have found that organic carrots have more juice per pound and are sweeter tasting. Enough so that we have done several side by side - blind tastings and the organic carrots win every time. Would I change machines just for the bit more juice... probably not... the Brevile juicers seem to be high performing units across the product line. When it wears out or if you need to handle VERY tough items, then the investment might be worth the extra performance. IF you don't have a good juicer or extractor... Question:	How well does this juicer handle celery bunches
Answer:	The juicer is very high powered. The juicer needs to be cleaned after the pitcher provided is full. I juice celery bunches with great success.
Question:	I was using this product for a week. One day juicing my vegetables, then all of a sudden the machine stop working. What could possibly be wrong
Answer:	Mine stopped working after a few uses. The motor was loud and eventually smoke appeared. I was juicing celery and lemon. Can I get a replacement or refund if the box has been thrown away?
Question:	How do i take off the stainless steel grinding basket
Answer:	Do not try to pull up the grinding basket. Feel around and pull up the black assembly that basket sits in gently. Practice a few times and it will become easier.
Question:	Are you able to juice without peeling and cutting the fruits and vegetables
Answer:	I don't peel anything but the oranges because the instructions clearly say that the thicker skins could damage the juicer. The only time I cut something up is if it's too big to go into the feeding area. Otherwise I don't do any extra prep.

Answer:	The Quadra Fin Juicing cone is a heavy, durable plastic.
Question:	Does the fine strainer work with this? Out of the box only has the larger strainer correct? Is there an accessories page? Breville's is website down
