Question:	Do you have to tip this over to change oil, or is there a spout that opens somewhere to release the oil
Answer:	There is no convenient spout to drain the oil. In fact you first have to remove the immersion heating assembly by lifting it up and out, then lift out the removable pot containing the oil from the outer housing to be able to pour the oil out.
Question:	Can the fryer be used for doughnuts that need to be fryed in lard
Answer:	I would disagree. I've used solid fats in every deep fryer I've ever owned (both lard and shortening). After they melt, they're synonymous with oil. Cleaning the unit after it has cooled is a different matter, but the solution is simply to pour the liquified fat into a separate container before it solidifies.

Answer:	When the unit is heating up it is too hot to touch, but that's completely understandable since it works so well. I heat it up, use it, then let it cool down before putting the top cover on before I put it away for storage. Again, this is the best kitchen appliance I have ever used!

Answer:	Using a candy thermometer, mine goes beyond 400 degrees Fahrenheit and when I cook with it, it cooks the outside just fine but the inside stays raw. I was also using breaded chicken that had sat out to room temperature.

Answer:	I fit a whole 6lb chicken in with no problem, sort of diagonal, breast side down for 1hr @350, then turned over for 15min. The wings only stuck up a little, & they were no problem to push down as I closed the basket. When done, the shrinkage took care of that issue when opening. Best chicken I ever ate. Much better than oven roasted. Crispy skin on the outside, & tender & juicy on the inside with no dried out sections or blood near the bone.

Question:	Does the manufacturer recommend against storing the oil in the fryer
Answer:	this is a good and nice fryer only for 1 or 2 persons .the price is about $25.99 usd + tax at the target store but normally target is on sale goes on about the price is $19.00 usd + tax.if you use the target red card then the price can add up save an extra 5% off for money right away and free shipping if buy it online. i am buying 2 pcs for myself. i like it. it's help me a lot for make food only for myself.it's easy cleaning inside and perfect side for only me eat. i can make frozen nugget or egg roll or fry fish, fry shrimp...etc. i maybe get one more soon.today is 10/17/2014 i just buy one more this item price is $19.00 usd + tax + 5% off + free shipping . :).i want to make food ready to eat quick and still crispy.sometime i lazy of still leave the oil in it but just fine but cause the stain all over the fryer not look new more. it's not big deal and i do not care .
