Answer:	I can make it reach half way across my sink (approximately 10-11 inches) when I extend it out completely from both pivot points. (At the base is one spot and the 2nd pivot is where there is a bend on the metal arm). Having them both points extended fully makes the faucet head close to the sink. The faucet also can be very compact also which is nice with big pots, etc.

Answer:	Yes chops them perfectly! Make sure they’re are soft and if not then soak them in water for about 10-30 mins. If you want to be more careful then cut the dates in half before you put them in the processor.

Answer:	The Ninja can easily do cookie dough and cake batters. But it is a high speed unit. Anything that needs blending on low would not do well with this. I still have my mixer and use it for low speeds. My Ninja did come with a "dough blade" and I do use that for pie crust, bread dough, etc. I have not done egg whites, but I imagine it would do well as the high speed does incorporate a lot if air. Whipping cream does well.

Answer:	I don't get it. We love this food processor but can't stand to wash it. Would not put it in the dishwasher. Everything gets stuck in the top and in the mechanism for the top. And it's clear plastic so you can see all the food caught in there, but there is no way to get it out. We can't figure out how it gets in there in the first place. We use the machine as directed. We wash it immediately after use every single time. I try to use the spray at the sink to get the debris out, doesn't help. Tried soaking it. Tried just at least spraying vinegar inside it to prevent bacteria from building up. We have only had it 5 years and have wanted to replace the bowl and top and Cuisinart is out of stock. And I saw them on sale on Amazon for $45. for just the bowl. And the food processor has gone up in price by $50. since we bought it in 2015. So, I am now actively looking for a replacement for this machine, even though it's still working fine. I can't deal with the clean up any more. Or with what I consider a health hazard having all that debris in there fermenting.

Answer:	I mostly use it for cheese but I have sliced onions in it and i liked the way they came out. they were individual piecies not the crappy mush some "choppers" leave you with.

Question:	Does this shred block cheese? Also wondering if it works for making nut butters
Answer:	Mine has a compact cover making chopping easier. This will do a better job chopping an onion for example than a mini chopper, with a mini chopper you have to add small amounts and empty and chop an onion in several stages. This is also much more uniform that a mini chopper. A mini chopper is so small it compacts the items, I don't chop with them. The only thing I use a mini chopper for is small amounts of marinates.
Question:	Is this particular model under recall
Answer:	Not sure about potatoes. The metal blade is for chopping and blending. If you want a consistency like hash browns, use the shredding blade. I've only made potato pancakes with leftover mashed potatoes. You would have to pulse carefully so they don't get gummy. As for pasta dough, I use mine for that all the time. You asked about cake. Yes you can use it to mix cake. Just be careful not to over fill to prevent leaking. What any food processor is not as good for is anything you are incorporating air into such as whipping egg whites. Because they have tight lids, it is tricky to get the air needed. I believe there may be special instructions in the manual. Hope this info helps.

Answer:	No, the machine does not weigh 32 pounds. 10 pounds maybe, very similar to other machines.

Answer:	Yes, the 10SY does not have the riveted blade that was recalled from the 10S (and others) back in December 2016.

Answer:	Yes. You can shred any cheese with this. You can also use it to make nut butters too.

Answer:	No. New model. Blade has s solid piece with no screws. It's sturdy and makes great dough! You'll love it.

Answer:	They are a bit different in style and I think the more traditional style has a 750 watt motor, while the more contemporary has the 600 watt motor. I bought the contemporary style for my daughter and she loves it. She said it could mix cement -so powerful motor, which is needed in a food processor.
Question:	How is this for small jobs, like two or three garlic cloves
Answer:	Mashed vegetables here. It's of average noisy when it will, and very quiet when it won't.
