Answer:	yes it's non stick. I use it all the time and there is no stick for me.
Question:	Will my steak taste like a steak on a grill or like a steak on a George Foreman grill which no offense is pretty gross and steam instead of grilling
Answer:	Definitely a good question. I had the same question and issue with the GF grill. I bought this HB Grill and it is great. Great searing and cooks like an outdoor regular grill. Marinate or season your steak however you like it and it will come out perfect. Of course, you won’t have the charcoal flavor if that is what you use for your outdoor grill, but the other flavor, texture and searing will be there. (I personally think it comes out juicier on this grill than the regular outdoor grills). I also found that this HB grill made it easier to get the cooking level you want; for steak; I.e. Medium, Medium Well, Well Done etc.
Question:	the removable grill plate has plug in attached. Is it ok to get that wet when cleaning
Answer:	Yes the booklet says it can be washed, the only thing you can't wash is the base it plugs into. However I don't put mine in the dishwasher and when I wash it I don't let it sit in water. Like my old George Foreman I find its easier to clean if I put wet paper towels on the grills surface while its still hot and shut the lid, this steams off a lot of the baked on marinade I use...

Question:	Are the grill grates aluminum or ceramic
Answer:	Not actually a tray but a tall cup. Small grease lip is on the left side of grill and you put the cup under the lip. The cup does not attach to the grill. Disappointing because if you accidentally move the grill or cup moves grease goes on countertop. I had grease splatters on right side countertop while cooking 2 strip steaks. Returned for grill that has grease tray attached.

Answer:	No. At least, not that we have tried. It is meant to be a press grill.
Question:	Is the top grill pan dishwasher safe
Answer:	With steak anything to about an inch. I have also seared thick chicken breast and it works out great. Thick porkchops and hamburgers work also.
Question:	would this be okay for a college dorm room
Answer:	No... they are not removable.... but I don't think that is necessarily bad..... The reason for removable plates is for washing. I haven't found this necessary. First of all, you don't want to put these in a dishwasher because that is brutal to ANY non-stick surface.... never put anything non-stick in a dishwasher. I know it would be nice to put the plates in a hot, sudsy bath... it would have been nice. However, I have found my cleaning method to be superior to the manufacturer's directions which says a wet paper towel. Not good. Rather try, Right after you take food off, take a hot, wet CLOTH kitchen towel (dont even need soap) and throw right on grill, close and let it steam. After dinner just take a minute and wipe down good.... stuff comes off great. Good luck

Answer:	I haven't tried steaming vegetables in here but probably not, you can cook boneless chicken thighs though!
Question:	How is it dishwasher safe with the plugs coming out of the pan
Answer:	The dishwasher safe description is misleading. The only dishwasher safe piece is the plastic drip tray. Under "Cleaning and Maintenance", the manual has in all caps: "DO NOT CLEAN PARTS USING A DISHWASHER". The grill plate should not be immersed in water at all, but it cleans very, very easily.
Question:	Does this have a prop 65 warning
Answer:	🤣 prop 65 is a warning to exposures of chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Question:	When cleaning i kno you can not imerse in water but can the underneath of cook top get wet?? Silver part under..if wet is it ok
Answer:	Yes, but do not submerge. The easiest way to clean this appliance is to set on low heat after use. Put folded wetted paper towels on grill surface. Leave only a short time until a bit steamy. Take a dry paper towel and remove the wet ones and wipe the surface. Remove remaining residue with a mixture of baking soda, lemon juice and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Then rinse, but be carful not to get water on the plug.

I also bought a bluetooth speaker to hook up to it in case it wasn't loud enough, and a bluetooth transmitter and receiver to plug in to it. Works amazing. Preparing for trip with grandkids so they can use their bluetooth headphones.

It is nice if you are trying to remove fat from your diet because it drains the grease from the meat as it cooks. It is easy to clean both by hand or in the dishwasher because the cooking plates are removable as well as the grease catcher.

Answer:	Aluminum plates with nonstick coating are non toxic. For your information, Teflon is no longer made. I wash them in the dish washer and they are easy to clean in the sink with Dawn. I have had my grill for almost a year I have had zero problems with the grills performance. Non stick coating is in great condition use non meatal utensils to remove food from grill, never use meatal utensils to clean the plates, just soak them in hot water with Dawn and use a sponge or dish cloth the clean them. It cooks to perfection. Cooks steaks and pork loin chops up to one inch thick, small lobster tail to perfection. Just remember to listen for the sound it makes when it has reached the end of cooking cycle you selected. I do not recommend cooking chicken Thys or legs with bone it will not cook the chicken it will cook pork chops with bone to perfection. I recommend using a meat thermometer to check for for the right temperature for steaks when the light reaches the medium rare stage. The temperature should be 135* to 140* in the center for medium rare steaks. Love this grill great gift for someone who lives in a apartment and can not have a propane grill.
