Answer:	Common with cast iron. Never in dishwasher. Or with soap. Brush it clean and keep dry. Use oil sunfloweroil or similar regurly and it will last a lifetime

Answer:	I don't have a grill but I don't see why not, just be sure to use an oven glove or something so you don't burn your hand.

Answer:	I called Lodge Customer Service and the guy was super nice and said he gets this question a lot. You have to use a flathead and a pair of pliers. It was very hard for me to screw it (I am giving this as a gift and wanted it assembled) tight enough using the tools but finally got it and it should NOT be loose at all. The screw is a 3/4 inch flathead screw.

Answer:	The underside of this is flat, not grooved like a panini press. I use it for toasted cheese and other toasted sandwiches, and like it a lot. Just wipe off the bottom...easy to clean.

Answer:	In my experience, grease does not collect. So far, no grease has fallen into the drip tray, instead it all stays on the metal grill. Our previous grill, from a different company, was tilted to force the grease to drain. This lies flat which seems like a mistake.

Answer:	Each plate measure 9" x 11", so you'll have 18" x 11" of cooking space if you open it flat. The griddler itself, with all the parts that stick out, measures 13.5" w x 12" d x 7.25" h (because of the handle that rises above the body.)

Answer:	It looks like is coated with teflon. Anyway, I called their customer service to find out but I wasn't successful getting someone in the phone. I measured the temperature and it does reach 450-500F when the light turns green. I wish they only made those plates from iron or stainless steel. Answer:	It's not very heavy, but it does the job. The only problem I found with it is that the metal pieces that hold up the wooden handle get hot, so you have to be careful to not get burned.

Answer:	Hot water and the dish cloth ..... but you should know that I oiled it lightly before use and after each cleaning.

Answer:	All the surfaces are non-stick but I would still dab some extra light olive oil...easier to clean for my dishwasher and makes the non-stick surfaces last longer if exposed to a dishwasher cycle.I usually marinate meat and veggies, using extra light olive oil as to get my daily requirement so I don't need to dab.Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fats (oleic acids) which not only raise the good HDL cholesterol but also lower the bad LDL cholesterol (women need about one Tbsp a day of olive oil, men need 2 Tbsp).It's the best healthy fat to lubricate your organs (along with peanut oil...unless somebody is allergic to peanuts, so go with olive oil and be safe).Use extra virgin olive oil for salad dressings but extra light olive oil (same calorie content but lighter in COLOR) for cooking...baking/frying/roasting as it was refined to withstand cooking temperatures (+375F but has less flavor).
