Answer:	yes it's non stick. I use it all the time and there is no stick for me.
Question:	Will my steak taste like a steak on a grill or like a steak on a George Foreman grill which no offense is pretty gross and steam instead of grilling
Answer:	Definitely a good question. I had the same question and issue with the GF grill. I bought this HB Grill and it is great. Great searing and cooks like an outdoor regular grill. Marinate or season your steak however you like it and it will come out perfect. Of course, you won’t have the charcoal flavor if that is what you use for your outdoor grill, but the other flavor, texture and searing will be there. (I personally think it comes out juicier on this grill than the regular outdoor grills). I also found that this HB grill made it easier to get the cooking level you want; for steak; I.e. Medium, Medium Well, Well Done etc.
Question:	the removable grill plate has plug in attached. Is it ok to get that wet when cleaning
Answer:	Yes the booklet says it can be washed, the only thing you can't wash is the base it plugs into. However I don't put mine in the dishwasher and when I wash it I don't let it sit in water. Like my old George Foreman I find its easier to clean if I put wet paper towels on the grills surface while its still hot and shut the lid, this steams off a lot of the baked on marinade I use...

Answer:	The cooking area is about 15x10 in which is more than adequate for me and my wife/ friendsI can grill almost anything without having to deal with weather conditions.Its great with miminalpreperation and cook time. Question:	Are the cooking surfaces removable? My daughter in law threw out her Foreman because the cooking surfaces were too hard to clean
Answer:	Yup, and very light weight, remember to wait for the cool down. One important note: try to avoid running these in the dishwasher, there's a contact with a stainless clip, steel screw and the aluminum plate and that is a guaranteed corrosion point with most automatic dishwasher detergents. Not that it'll be a problem to clean em - I incinerated some asparagus on it and it didn't stain.
Question:	Has anyone tried cooking sausages with the grill? I was wondering if you could cook them whole, or if you have to cut them in half
Answer:	Cooks sausage and kielbasa to perfection. I always butterfly mine and they come out with the grill marks and cooked all the way through!!
Question:	how long to cook a medium burger
Answer:	Best things about opti grill is you don't have to worry about it- the lights and beeps will let you know. We did turkey burgers from frozen to cooked in less than 10 minutes. We did a chicken sliced in half the other day. Took 37 minutes- longer since it had bones etc.- but it was the juiciest best grilled chicken I have had in a long time. The skin was golden brown- almost like fried chicken but less grease....I highly recommend buying this item.
Question:	why does manual mode only work
Answer:	Please call T-Fal customer service first. It's not a universal solution. It worked for some (me including) and did not for others. IT WORKED FOR OPTIGRILL MODEL GC702. I strongly suggest to call first or use it as the last resort, or when you are going to send it for repair anyway. (Added 4/1/2016 after reports about "bricking" the grill). I just called TFal about the same problem. OPTIGRILL MODEL GC702. You need to recalibrate the unit! That is how: Plug it in but DO NOT turn it on. Press AND hold Hamburger - Fish - Manual buttons at the same time until Steak Button starts blinking. Make sure before your grill is COLD and NOT ON, just plugged in. Then open the lid put your palm in the middle of the plate and close the lid. Press the blinking Steak button. It will blink twice and stays steady. Put away your hand. Unplug and plug the grill again. Done! Recalibrated! In case I miss something just call TFal they'll help you. But I just went through the process and the machine is working like it should.

Answer:	I haven't tried steaming vegetables in here but probably not, you can cook boneless chicken thighs though!
Question:	How is it dishwasher safe with the plugs coming out of the pan
Answer:	The dishwasher safe description is misleading. The only dishwasher safe piece is the plastic drip tray. Under "Cleaning and Maintenance", the manual has in all caps: "DO NOT CLEAN PARTS USING A DISHWASHER". The grill plate should not be immersed in water at all, but it cleans very, very easily.
Question:	Does this have a prop 65 warning
Answer:	🤣 prop 65 is a warning to exposures of chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Question:	When cleaning i kno you can not imerse in water but can the underneath of cook top get wet?? Silver part under..if wet is it ok
Answer:	Yes, but do not submerge. The easiest way to clean this appliance is to set on low heat after use. Put folded wetted paper towels on grill surface. Leave only a short time until a bit steamy. Take a dry paper towel and remove the wet ones and wipe the surface. Remove remaining residue with a mixture of baking soda, lemon juice and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Then rinse, but be carful not to get water on the plug.

Question:	Are the grill grates aluminum or ceramic
Answer:	Not actually a tray but a tall cup. Small grease lip is on the left side of grill and you put the cup under the lip. The cup does not attach to the grill. Disappointing because if you accidentally move the grill or cup moves grease goes on countertop. I had grease splatters on right side countertop while cooking 2 strip steaks. Returned for grill that has grease tray attached.
Question:	Does it come with glass lid...does not mention
Answer:	No. At least, not that we have tried. It is meant to be a press grill.
Question:	Is the top grill pan dishwasher safe
Answer:	With steak anything to about an inch. I have also seared thick chicken breast and it works out great. Thick porkchops and hamburgers work also.
Question:	would this be okay for a college dorm room
Answer:	No... they are not removable.... but I don't think that is necessarily bad..... The reason for removable plates is for washing. I haven't found this necessary. First of all, you don't want to put these in a dishwasher because that is brutal to ANY non-stick surface.... never put anything non-stick in a dishwasher. I know it would be nice to put the plates in a hot, sudsy bath... it would have been nice. However, I have found my cleaning method to be superior to the manufacturer's directions which says a wet paper towel. Not good. Rather try, Right after you take food off, take a hot, wet CLOTH kitchen towel (dont even need soap) and throw right on grill, close and let it steam. After dinner just take a minute and wipe down good.... stuff comes off great. Good luck
