I would say that if you were to get an extension, to make sure it's a low-number gauge, and as short as possible. That should decrease the possibility of it heating up and causing a fire. But of course it would be best to plug it in directly to an outlet.

Answer:	This refrigerator is not frost free. But you will very rarely have to defrost it. It is very slow to build up frost. As small as it is it will be very easy to defrost every few months. I have had mine for a couple of months now and it is no where close to needing defrosting for the first time and is used every day.

Answer:	The name plate says: 115 Volts AC, 60 Hz, 80 Watts, rated current 1.0 Amps. The reason rated current is 1 Amp (which equals about 115 watts) is because it takes more current to start the compressor. I'm not sure why you want to know Watts (cost to operate?) but if you are going to run it off an Inverter (12 Volts DC to 115 Volts AC for example) you will need an Inverter than can handle the starting load. It's about the same as using an 80 watt incandescent light bulb when running. A pulse of power like a 100 Watt bulb when starting. Hope this answers your question. Yes I am an engineer ;-)

Answer:	Yes, and they slip off if you want to stack the units. Mine were a little too tall to fit between the shelves where I wanted them. I took the rubber feet to my shop and ground them down about 1/16th of an inch. They fit perfectly now.

Answer:	We have just started selling them recently and we don't have customers that have owned it over 2 years yet. They appear to have quality components and construction, which is why we chose to sell them. However, we have been selling the Magic chef and there is a new one the 4.8 cu ft I have it personally, OMG!! This one has everything! I put it in my bedroom so I don't have to walk downstairs to the kitchen at night. OMG is it nice, I've had the 3.1 cu ft and the 4.5 cu ft, but the 4.8 cu ft is miles apart from the others. The size and the ability to freeze ice pops really quickly is so nice, and quiet I can't even tell if it's on, and I sleep 3 1/2' ' feet away from it. The room in it is unbelievable, stand up soda and drinks, ice cream is firm and plenty of room for gallons, cones, pops, etc. It's just like a full size except for its a big mini. I sell refrigerators for a living do yourself a favor treat yourself to the 4.8 cu ft Magic Chef you will love this one or it's on me. This is a pure 5-star fridge all day long. The quietest fridge I've ever seen, that works the best I've ever had the pleasure to own. Best of the Best and Biggest of the Big Mini's it's 10 stars out of 5!!
