More hygienic (thus, less disgusting) than storing frozen feeder rodents (or raw poultry and other meat) with any of your family's foodstuffs that won't be cooked before they are eaten! The lack of an auto defrost feature is actually an advantage, since temperatures fluctuate little except when you are defrosting manually.

Answer:	Most vehicle alternators charge at a higher rate when first started to compensate for the initial drain when starting. I believe there is a technical term here. The voltage regulator usually reads the battery’s voltage and turns on the charging function to top off, if you will, the battery. If you do run the engine for 10 minutes, of course the alternator will recharge the battery. I would ensure the headlights were turned off as well. Just as an extra measure. If you were interested manning on running the refrigerator for an extended period of time like for several weeks while at an Rv Park, then I would either put the 110v AC line to the Rv or at least a battery maintainer/charger on the battery if in an automobile without AC. We his is a small enough device that if you are mindful of what you are doing you should be okay. Just don’t start off using a weak battery to begin with.

Answer:	Love this product. It uses 40 watts as it runs. From the time it plugged in It took about half a day to freeze ice cubes and using a single deep cycle Battery ran without recharging for three days. I take it camping. As far as I know, any refrigerator or freezer will not run properly in cold weather but you might be safe at 40 degrees. 80 is no problem.

Answer:	Mine runs at about 50 watts when it is running. Once cold it runs for about 3-4 minutes then shuts off for about 22-23 minutes then repeats. Mine is set for economy mode at 4C on my boat down here at Key West Fl. I really like mine as a small fridge. Makes a big difference living on my boat with only solar power to keep the batteries up. With 2 100 watt panels my batteries are charged by 11:00-11:30 in the morning.

Answer:	For anyone interested in current draw, I ran a test over 24 hours with a watt meter. The ambient temp was about 21 C (68 F) and the refrigerator was set to 0 C (32 F). In the 24 hours I opened the unit about 6 times to measure the temperate of items inside with a non-contact thermometer. Temperature of items maintained about 3-4 C. The current draw was just over 12 amps over the 24 hours. This gives an average draw of about .5 amps/hr. This will be higher if the ambient temps are higher of the temp of the unit is lowered.

Answer:	Hello Anna, Thank you for your interest in our 12v Cooler/Warmer 14-Liters, this device is not a freezer and would be able to keep your perishables cool during your travels but the cooling capability is dependent on your surrounding atmosphere/temperature since it will be able to cool 40 degrees below ambient temperature. If you live in a colder area, and the device is able to get below the freezing point, it may be able to keep your meals frozen solid for 20 hours in the car. But keep in mind this is just a cooler and not a freezer.

Answer:	It won't melt. The warmer is not hot than microwave. However I am not sure any chemical will be released from the plastic container when it's heated?

Answer:	Danfoss compressor. Danish company but I don't know where it is manufactured. The compressor is located on one side of the unit with vents on side, below control panel. The compartment with the compressor is smaller than the other one

Question:	Cfx-75dzw show 1.3 amp/h and the cfx-95dzw show 3.6 amp/h dometic site 70 watt for cfx-75dzw and cfx-95dzw 75watt
Answer:	It's most likely a typo as the CFX-65 dz uses 1.9, I doubt that the CFX-75dzw uses only 1.3, most likely it's something over 2. I don't recommend this brand, Dometic customer support is terrible. My CFX-65dz is not working properly and they refuse to acknowledge it. Go for a brand like Engel or ARB for chest models or Vitrifrigo, NovaCool or Isotherm for front door models.
