Answer:	The KitchenAid KSM8990 SpecSheet states "COMMERCIAL-GRADE ACCESSORIES COME STANDARD." Then it lists "Stainless Steel Spiral Dough Hook, Stainless Steel Flat Beater, Stainless Steel Elliptical 11-Wire Whip, 8-Qt Brushed Stainless Steel Bowl with “J” Style Handle."
Question:	Can the blender be used for chopping and grinding? Or is it just designed for smoothies
Answer:	I have bought 3 of these in the past 4 years and 2 have already broken. I am mixing cake batter and buttercream with it, not dough, and it does have breaks between use. The handle on the bowl is only attached at one point, not two points on the bowl like the home models. I have had problems with the handles breaking off because you of course have more weight in a bowl that will hold 8 quarts vs. 5 quarts. Personally I am disappointed with the commercial mixer! I have a Kitchenaid 5 quart that is around 20 years old that still works great, but have had no luck with the commercial series.

Answer:	2 quart less than 10 quart, depending on your needs when using. Bumping up to 10 quarts probably means a commercial mixer obviously. Value wise, I think the 8 quart is a steal.

Answer:	I'm a chef that has been using the kitchen aid commercial series at work for many years now. The commercial kitchen aid has better horsepower than the proline series. So your awnser really depends on what you need the mixer for. If you are using it at home every now and then the proline works just fine. If you plan to use it a lot, like powering through cold butter to whip it, or large batches of doughs, whipped cream in under 30 seconds the commercial is the way to go. Personally I try to buy all commercial grade items for my home as well, they tend to cost more but the hold up better and longer, and always have more power. Hope this helps.

Answer:	From Amazon - Oxo 1241581 good grips jar spatula. I have the flat spatula that comes with the Vitamix but I wanted something better. Order two because you may wish like I did that I'd done that and had to reorder.

Answer:	In the strict sense, no. Juicers extract the juice (water) from the plants. The vitamix blends the plants into a smooth concoction. You do need to add juice or water to do this but would be amazed at how little. If your goal is to create the healthiest and tastiest drink than go with the vitamix and make a smoothie. You will read that he advantage of smoothies is fiber, but that is not completely true. Think about how much of the vitamins, anti-oxidants that are left in the plant itself after you extract out the water/juice. Especially in non-juicy plants like; spinach, kale, carrots, etc... Plus you can throw in healthy juice, protein power, Metamucil, etc... into the vitamix and it will blend it all into a very smooth drink. But if a smoothie is not your idea of a meal and you just want a healthy juice to go with your meal/breakfast than I would go with a juicer, not the vitamix. It blends extremely well but does not extract. Hope that helps.

I am a woman, you can bet I was the butt of everybody's jokes later on. After finding the replacement pieces getting the doors to work right was a snap.
