OH AND MAKE SURE YOUR 1100 MONBLOCK IS COMPATABLE WITH 4OHM SPEAKERS AS WELL. remember any time you have a amp or reciever that is higher than the speaker power handling and the ohm capability matches you can use. just dont turn it full max because the amp kicks out more power than the speaker can handle which is good i would say because that insures you will get the best sound provided the speaker is a quality speaker to began with

Answer:	If you were to tune the amp using math to calculate the max power output the amp will output, you could have this installed in a 2100 watt system and NOT blow it up or damage it in any way. So the answer depends on how much of the 2100 watts is being pushed through the speaker in question. 2100 watts (full power) would destroy the voice coil in this case.

Question:	What do you do with the min/max button. How do you use it
Answer:	If you are taking several temperatures of an item over time, e.g., you are wanting to bring the temperature up over 145F, and you begin taking a temp every few minutes, after a few minutes you walk away from the process and can't remember what your last reading was - the max value will tell you (the most recent max value recorded). The same applies in reverse, say you are bringing a temperature down over time, you check every few minutes, walk away from the process, can't remember your lowest reading - the min value will show you the most recent value recorded. It can be a useful feature. That is basically the way I use that function. If you think you are going to use it that way, clear the values in memory first, so you start with a clean record.
Question:	Can I put the whole thermometer in the oven? Or will this melt it
Answer:	I wouldn't. It can take the heat of a dishwasher but that's not close to the temps used in an oven. I've stuck mine into a roast to see if the inside is at the proper temp like using an instant read digital thermometer. It does fine in that capacity.

Answer:	Saru, my owner's manual does not mention calibration. I'm sure the factory has a calibration routine but this may not be accessible through a secret button combination (or it could be?). Question:	What do you do with the min/max button. How do you use it
Answer:	All I know is the max is most likely a preset number, press the button and it shows on mine 190.4 and the min shows 46.4 on mine. I use mine for work, I test concrete so I haven't had the chance to check out all the features. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Answer:	-10C is at 13F needs to go CW to 14F, 0C off by 1F needs CW to 32F, BUT 10C is almost spot on at 50F, 20C falls a bit short of 68F. Or if you're European or like metric system the Fahrenheit scale is the wrong one. Looks like art work is not so good and all people on this product team failed elementary grade science!

Answer:	The 6 inch measurement is for the display card it is attached to. This is typical for Amazon descriptions for items of this kind. As stated in other answers, the thermometer itself is 3.5 inches tall
Question:	how accurate is the thermometer? I've used one of these types before in my breville and it gave the wrong temperature of the inside of the oven
Answer:	The only way to make sure a thermometer is accurate is to calibrate it. This is done by boiling water and using the thermometer to test the water. If the thing reads 121 degrees, it is accurate. If not, then it needs to be calibrated...that is, the dial needs to be rotated in relation to the dial so it reads 212 degrees. From what I see, most dial type oven thermometers are no longer manufactered with a small nut on the back to allow calibration. Find an old one at a yeard sale and you might be able to.

Answer:	Yes, but the method is not included in the instructions that come with the thermometer. What you have to do is look up "how to calibrate a cooper digital thermometer dfp450w". To calibrate, the on/off button is used, instead of a "cal" button, and follows the usual ice bath method. The thermometer also has a huge range before calibration would fail: 23°F to 41°F around freezing.
