Answer:	Ok, I dug down in the recycle bin for the box so that I could verify that for you. There is an address in Lohne, Germany on the box, but indeed, it says "Made in China" The amazon seller is a family business in the USA, who provides lots of contact info in case you have problems. I love this set. Very nice quality, and it's glass, not plastic. I do try to buy USA, but hey, I would buy this again, absolutely. It's great. Grinds both salt and pepper just the way we like it. Question:	should I wash the inside of the grinders before I start using them and should I wash the top part with the grinding mechanism
Answer:	Water gets stuck in the grinder part. If you must wash the grinder, I suggest disassembling all the parts and air dry.

Question:	How do i contact latent epicure if i have a problem with the grinders
Answer:	Did you solved it? Mine also have it's blue light always on. If you put it on operational position it starts grinding and the lights still on. Positioning it upright and the grinding stops but the lights still on.
Question:	How wide is the tray that comes with it
Answer:	I believe so. But they are very easy to use. You remove the bottoms to fill. Just about a half turn and they open easily. Batteries are in the top part and that is just a quick twist to open as well. Adjusting the coarseness is done at the very tip by turning clockwise for finer grind
Question:	What is the holding tray for? A good quality mill should not leak. Is it just to hold the units or does it get dirty

Advice:

- For optimal performance and power use brand name alkaline non-rechargeable AA LR6 batteries.

- Inserting the batteries in the wrong way leads to little or no grinding.

- Use peppercorns in diameter no bigger than 5mm, most brands are smaller than that.

- Use dry coarse salt only. If your salt is damp, let it air dry for up to 48 hours. Do not use damp or fine salt.

- Clean the grinding mechanism every 6 months or as needed and do not submerge under water or other liquids.

Question:	Do any of the plastic parts come into contact with the pepper/salt
Answer:	The plastic support ring is just to hold the metal grinder mechanism and spring in place and does not move. The salt and pepper grains, prior to grinding, do flow through the support ring. The mechanism used is very common and does not affect the salt and pepper grinding process.

Answer:	The product was designed and inspected by our small, family run company in Southern California USA. The product is manufactured in China using high quality materials and a manufacturer that is environmentally friendly and has socially responsible labor standards.

Answer:	Hi and thank you for your question. The finish we use is to show the natural beauty of Acacia wood which makes each set unique in its own way. The colors can range from light almost white to a dark brown and everything in between. The product is a natural wood product so staining the product is possible by using the right materials.

Answer:	Do not know long term effect - have used this exact model for a number of years and have only had to replace when the grinder mech finally gave out.

Answer:	No it won't. Try a microplane with whole nutmeg, works great.
Question:	Does it become clogged if the salt is a bit damp? And how do you clean out the mechanism

Answer:	I haven’t refilled it yet since it came completely filled with peppercorns. There is a screw -open cap at the bottom near the “ thumbprints” where you grind the peppercorns. It looks fairly easy to refill. A nice feature is there are five different grinds, from very fine to extra coarse.
