Answer:	Yes; but it is made of High Quality material. Works great ; you will not be dissapointed with this Garlic Press.

Answer:	The crushing basket is very small. I find I have to cut any decent sized clove in half. That said, it does a great job of crushing the garlic to very, very small pieces, e.g. what you want for great garlic butter. It’s also super sturdy.

Answer:	I don't know, but it has not rusted or discolored and I've used it over 15 times, washed by hand. I have two other things that I bought which said stainless steel and have rusted. Answer:	When ours wore out, we followed the advice of other reviewers and used a toothbrush. If you just poke the bristles into the holes it works as good as or better than the original tool.

Answer:	Can’t give up and exact answer but it does work the peel is on the bottom and the garlic is minced. It is a very good press. What a timesaver it has been.

Answer:	It will press ginger and turmeric but not as well as grating it. I had hoped it would save me the trouble but it didn't work for me. By pressing the ginger and turmeric, all you get it liquid. Hope this helped. A great press for garlic!
