Question: Anyone knows how to open up the lid for cleaning
Answer: There is a flat, round button on the center underside of the lid. That button is removable and the lid comes apart. You may need to gently pry the button off with a sharp knife the first couple of times you do it. After that, it'll be easy to remove with your fingers by just pulling up on it.
Question: How well does this spin the lettuce dry, please
Answer: I think it does a very good job. I always spin one direction and then the other. If the lettuce is particularly convoluted, I will sometimes rearrange it and spin it again.
Question: I need to know if this is the kind with the pull cord and if the cord looks like it is quality and won't break. I had a different brand, but it broke
Answer: There is no cord. This item is of great quality and we get very good feedback. We have never had any complaints on it either.

Answer: I think it was from Italy. We had ours for about two years and the spinner knob broke and couldn't fix. Emailed the company with no success. They didn't return my email on how to fix this. I will not buy one of these again. You will be money ahead by buying a cheaper one and throwing it away when it breaks. You can then buy another cheap one and still be ahead of the game.

Answer: Hi I think the diameter is 9.8" by 6.8".
Question: Will it clean tiny potatoes? Love them, but dont want to wash and brush each individual potato. Need an easy fix for cleaning small new red potatoes
Answer: No, it won't clean tiny potatoes. The only thing that it will do is get all the water off them after you wash each one. I bought mine for drying Kale to make chips. I have used it for Kale, Strawberries, Blueberries, Sweet potatoes, grapes and of course lettuce.

Answer: The clear plastic bowl is 10" wide x 5.5" high. Total height with the top installed is 8.5". We love it but don't drop the bowl!! It will break every time.

Answer: The bowl is 5 liters, which is about 5 quarts, or 20 cups. As big, or bigger than most other salad spinners. You probably wouldn't want to pack it tightly to capacity. But it easily holds the greens for a salad for 4 to 8 servings.

Answer: If you aren’t kidding around, the answer is yes. The device is quite portable. She’ll love it, so you will likely not get it back.

Answer: If you want to use a salad spinner for small clothing items, get one of the hand crank ones, where you control the speed and direction on the top. The pump and drawstring ones don't offer enough control once clothes become bunched up from going the same direction for too long.
