Answer: Never has happened to me. Try another supply and see what happens. GFI's are sometimes kinda finicky, but if it's tripping a circuit, it could be a bad smoker, or a weak circuit breaker.
Question: What is the lowest temp you can smoke at
Answer: When I turn my ZGrill to smoke it averages from 190-220 degrees. It will produce a lot of smoke at first, then it will cycle smoke every 10 minutes or so. I have cooked all kinds of meat on the grill, and it works good on ribs using the 3-2-1 routine. (3 hrs smoke, 2 hrs wrapped, 1 hr with sauce)
Question: Is the grill water proof, would it be ok to use in the rain
Answer: The hopper is sealed, but I would not use it in the rain, in fear that the pellets would get wet. I suspect that trying to clean the hopper of wet and deteriorated pellets would be extremely time consuming.

Answer: What I think would work better would be to put the cleaning solution in a shallow baking pan (or something similar) and then heating the BBQ grates and then dipping the hot grates in the cleaning solution that is in the shallow pan. Depending on how much grease is on your grates, you may need to change the cleaning solution out during that process. Do this outside due to the fumes and smoke that this stuff creates. I suppose you could do it the way that you are suggesting but because the cleaning solution runs through the grates right away, I think that it would take a lot of effort, cleaning solution and time.

Question: How many years of use is realistic to expect from this smoker before it breaks
Answer: I've had the version of this smoker (one generation earlier) for 7 or 8 years. I've kept it outside on the deck the entire time with a Masterbuilt smoker cover. I use it at least a dozen times a year and put only a modest amount of effort into care. The most important care factor is making sure it dries out after use. I wipe the gaskets but for the most part leave the interior as is (except when I cook something really messy). AFTER I finish I run it at max heat (275F) for about 30 minutes with the vent open to cook off water and bake in residual fat (seasoning). It's that baked in fat that really protects your appliance more so that any amount of elbow grease! (you see what I did there :) Results: Mostly due to failure of the smoker cover (which I have since replaced) water was able to get in. Even before that some rusting of the wood chip pan was occurring. I had a common problem with the grounding of the heating element causing electrical failures (popping my GFI) which I replaced with a significant amount of effort and several scraped knuckles. I've read that this is much easier in later models. So I'd say 10 years is reasonable given modest proper care (most important of which being to cook the inside dry after use!). And that's 10 years of freakin awesome smoked meats with almost no effort maintaining the correct heat. Turn it on, go to work, come home to BBQ.
Question: How often do you add wood chips? And do you soak them
Answer: i have time to use the unit twice, once with chips, soaked about 30 minutes, and once without. When I used chips, I added new ones about every 30-40 minutes.

Question: How would you compare the performance between 14.5 an 18.5? same amount of charcoal? same amount of time to cook? any diff in temp control
Answer: Have used the 14.5 a few times now (tri-tip, meatloaf, two hot-n-fast cooks with pork butts)...It's a pretty cool little cooker. Have several years experience cooking with a tamale steamer converted smokey joe. Thus far, I'd have to say it cooks similarly to those (with the added bonus of a water pan and door). It holds less charcoal than the 18.5, for sure. For the hot-n-fast pork butt cooks I had to lift off top/center sections and refuel...not too difficult, but something I don't have to do with the 18.5. Haven't really tried a true low-n-slow cook yet...can't say how long cook time might be under those conditions (have had good 6 hour plus burn times on the converted smokey joes). When I cook hot-n-fast, to be honest, I just let 'er rip...this little guy gets plenty hot, plenty fast. Obviously, there's less space in the 14.5, you can get a butt on each grate and that's about it. I don't use water when cooking hot-n-fast either, but the water pan is much smaller than the 18.5. I think I'm going to enjoy cooking on this, but If I had to choose one...I might choose the 18.5 (increased charcoal/cooking capacity). Lucky me, I've got both and a couple of 22.5's!! Hope this helps.
Question: Am struggling with which size Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker to get - 18.5 inch or 22.5 inch. Can you tell me the advantages to both. Thank you
Answer: I have owned the 22.5" for a year and I can tell you that it is worth the purchase. It can hold any piece of meat that you can think of putting on it and it stays fired up for all smoke jobs. I have smoked whole turkeys, briskets, pork butts, chicken, and burgers/brats/dogs. I would say I've put roughly 25 smokes on it and I have never had any issues with it. I also smoke for 4 people generally. The 18.5" is going to be exactly the same thing except in a smaller form. It may not have the room you are looking for if you get a large cut. I have seen a lot of comments saying that the 22.5" uses more fuel and while that is correct it doesn't have to be filled to the brim for a smoke. I normally use a half ring and if I need a few more coals I just throw them on. Never had an issue with it. I would rather have the size and not need it than regret not getting the extra room. If this is well taken care of it could last for several decades so what is the big deal with spending an extra $100. Just my 2 cents.

Question: I'm new to smoking and need something for indoor use. Can this be used indoors
Answer: No. The smoke and other invisible fumes (carbon monoxide) are not safe to breathe. This needs to be used outdoors. If the seal around the door was improved, you could maybe justify using it in a garage with some duct work attached to the vent in the back and routed safely outside. Do not use this in an area intended for continuous occupancy. Do not use it near anything flammable or combustible.

Answer: A small tea light wouldn't be enough enough for something like chocolate fondue. A larger "votive" type candle *might* provide enough heat to keep chocolate fondue melted for a short-ish period of time, but it wouldn't be hot enough to keep cheese fondue at a good temperature, really for any period of time.

Suck the Sauce Marinade Directly

Choose 6" angled-cut needle, and remove the protective cap from needle tip. Put needle tip into your marinade container, and make sure the angled-cut tip is completely soaked in the marinade. Then draw the marinade up into the barrel chamber by pulling the O-ring handle
